I wanted to know what months are the best time to go and what months are the worst times to go. We have never been to DL. Thanks.

It all depends on your priorities.

If you want to go when it is warm, you should go May-Sept.

If you want to go when there are more moderate temperatures, then March, April or October (and maybe May) should be considered.

If you want to go when the crowds are low (and possibly miss some rides and shows that are closed) then you want January, February, September or October.

If you want to have the most number of rides open and shows running daily (even though the crowds are higher), then you want late March, early April, June, July, August, late November or December.

it depends on what you want. no matter what you choose, there is typically a trade-off. for instance, go when there are less crowds, and you will encounter shorter park hours and more ride closures. go when everything is running and DL is open till Midnight, and you will likely be there when it's extremely crowded and hot (unless you go around Christmas time, which will be cooler but still crowded).

here are two articles that may help you to plan when to take your trip. the first explains how to schedule around large local conventions so as to avoid their crowds:

and this one addresses which time of year is best to visit Disneyland:

We go every year the last weekend of Feb/first weekend of March. The weather has always been great.. warm in the afternoons and sweatshirt weather in the mornings and evenings.

I've also heard the week right after Thanksgiving is also a great time to go! All the Holiday decor is up but the park is not so crowded. I really really want to go then sometime!

Thank you all for your help! We were thinking of going in April during my kids spring break but it also falls on the week of Easter this year:scared1: Wasn't sure how the crowds would be then and the weather. Thanks everyone:)
