Best to call Disney?

I have been trying to call Disney to talk about a Memory Maker purchase for many days, and every single time the wait time is more than 20 minutes. Am I just having bad luck, or is this how it always is these days?

I just want to buy Memory Maker for our trip in 8 days, but every time I try to do it online, the website gets hung up at the same place and I'm unable to proceed any further. It's also not showing the AP discount I think I should get.

It's starting to make me a little crazy.
Any advice? Or do i just need to spend 20+ minutes online to be able to buy this before I get there and the price goes up?

If you have an Annual Pass, you should have memory maker already. You just show your magic band to the photopass photographer, and you will be able to see your pictures on the My Disney Experience App. Allow some time, because sometimes the pictures take a while to pop up. You can then download the pictures to your phone. If you want to print them, you can take your phone to a store in your hometown probably for cheaper. If not, I think your AP would give a discount at the photo stores.

I think I purchased it just barely too early for that - The end of November last year. I had to purchase it then, so I thought I wasn't covered until I renew it next month. Am I wrong? Because that would be great.

Just want to clarify before I comment, I added more to my previous post.

What AP do you have? I bought my WDW AP in February, so you might be right. The only passes offered at WDW now have the memory maker included. You might want to call just to make sure.
 

I think you may just have to wait the 20+ minutes. That's been the same scenario for me the last two times that I've called. I just put my phone on mute and speaker and go about doing whatever else it is that I need to do until someone picks up. At least you'll have a great 'on hold' soundtrack to listen to.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've been trying online for three days with no success. Disney has a coding problem somewhere on the website....shocking.
 
I wish Disney did that online chat system some companies do. The wait time has been long of late. Like PP I accept my fate and put it on speaker. If you are a DVC member you could try DVC member services to buy it through them. The wait time might be shorter..
 
Not all WDW APs have Photopass included - but all the non-FL-Resident ones do. Unless you've got a FL Resident Silver or Weekday Select pass (or Epcot After 4), you have Photopass downloads and don't need Memory Maker.

The change to WDW APs occurred last year on October 4, so now that it's been more than a year, the vast majority of the "old" pass types no longer exist, with the exception of people who renewed before 10/4/15 for a post-10/4/15 expiration date.
 
Disney does offer chat service, but that can have a wait as well.

Oh I see. That's not helpful then is it! I prefer the instant ones. the photo's on the AP now is great btw. I didn't think we would use it. Never had memory maker. I love it! Was I wrong. Hope OP sorts it out.

I went ahead and called and waited... 31 minutes. But as per your suggestions I put it on speaker, enjoyed the music and read through some threads here. I do have a Platinum AP, which does include Memory Maker -- even though they still let me pay for it last December while I was there. :headache: But I'm good to go for next week and definitely appreciate all your help!!
