Ok,
I've seen this type of thread over at the parks board & I figured theres gotta be stuff pertaining to weddings/honeymoons/proposals that people can share or ask................so.................

Anyone have any tip....advice...secrets about anything pertaining to DFTW, honeymoons or proposals???

I was wondering if anyone has some priceless advice for us or maybe some insider tips??

like is there something you can get for no extra charge ONLY if you ask for it & know who & how to ask for it.
Any secret words to use that flag a CM or EM/SM that gets you white glove service??

Get the Just married buttons!! They are a must have and you have no idea how much attention they will bring you!

Animal Kingdom- Safari ride- if you tell the person who gets you in your seat that you just got married/honeymooning/VR'ing and would like to ride in the front-- they will more than likely hold you until there is a jeep that accomodates 2 in the front. Which is nice-- and you dont get any shots of peoples arms and bodies when you take them!!

MK- I recommend wearing the buttons & hats (the buttons alone will get you MUCH more attention than you ever expect) because a lot of the rides like POTC & Small World will let you have a romantic boat by yourself!

Make sure all of your ADR all have the occasion on them!! Your chances of more pixie dust are greater.

If you are actually marrying/VR'ing IN WDW-- I recommend when people start talking to you about your buttons-- make sure they know that you did it IN WDW-- not at home and then came- they take pride in that, which may earn you a little more pixie dust.

there are a few restaurants that will give you free champange. we got it free at Narcoossees and have seen ppl get it at the california grill. when our server asked how we were we said "sad, its the last night of our HONEYMOON *hint hint*" and she came back right away with free champange. so I agree with making sure everyone and anyone knows about it! we also got to sit in the very front at the beauty and the beast show which was nice for pictures and seeing it all up close. I had my ears on and the perosn that stands at the top of the stadium spotted us coming in.

i also recommend not getting up at the crack of dawn to head the parks and staying until it closes-- remember this is 'your' time of sorts... so take it a little more leasurely and not push it!! I really like what laura said on the other thread about going to see the campfire movie (for free!!) at fort wilderness--- i didnt even know it existed but sounds like it would be sweet!

i agree with maggie. we are NOT monring people, we only set the alarm one or two mornings. other than that we slept till about 8:30 or 9:00, ate breakfast in teh concierge lounge, and then mossied on over to the parks. it was very nice and relaxing to not be all "hurry we have to make it to teh gates before they open!!"

Thanks Maggie. It is alot of fun. Also watching the Water parade from the beach of Fort Wilderness is alot of fun.

DH is such a pyromaniac(?)...he loves bonfires...that would be so fun....do you need to reserve a spot or is a come & go thing??
Do they offer marshmallows??

You just show up. I believe it starts at 7:30 or 8. They sell Marshmellows. Very inexpensive or you can bring your own. I am making smore kits up for my guests.

The campfire program is open to all WDW resort guests. It generally begins around 7 p.m. during the fall/winter season and 8 p.m. after the time changes in April through the summer. It is held near the Meadow Trading Post in the campfire area. The program begins with a sing-along led by a Disney CM and a marshmallow roast around two campfire rings. You may bring your own marshmallows or buy them at the Chuckwagon (roasting sticks and marshmallows are $2). You may also buy pizza, hot dogs, candy, nachos, juice, popcorn, sodas, coffee, beer and other refreshments at the Chuckwagon. While this is going on, Chip and Dale make an appearance to visit with guests and sign autographs. The sing-along lasts about 40 minutes. Next, one or two Disney animated features, depending upon the season, are shown on a large outdoor screen. Seating is available in bleachers or on benches. There is also plenty of room to lay out a quilt or blanket. The movie schedule is posted at all comfort stations. In the event of rain, the sing-along is still held on the porch of the Meadow Trading Post. The following schedule from February 2004 gives an idea of the types of movies shown:

This is not guarenteed to work, but you might want to talk to the person at the FP queue on the rides. *Note: wear your just married pins or wedding ears, so they know you are telling the truth. I heard all kind of stories when I worked RNR and Dinosaur.* If the FP queue isn't too busy at the time, they might let you through without the pass. Almost all the CM's at the ride have child swap passes on them, and they are good for any time of the day on their ride. Also, they have the ability to print out FP's for you even if you already have one for another ride.

This is an awesome thread with some wonderful ideas!!!

I plan on watching the electric light parade but I'm gonna see if we can maybe sqeeze in movie night!! Sounds like fun!!!!
