What is the best time to visit wdw to avoid the big crowds, we were there november last year, abit too cold on a night for us, and thanksgiving weekend was absolutly mad, you could'nt move in the parks, we only stayed at magic kingdom 2 hours on one day it was that bad. maybe people could let me know what they think is best time to go, Dont want it to be a ghost town but not too busy(are'nt we the awkward ones) and warmer than it was in november (they had snow on one night, it cost us a fortune buying warm clothes, we only took shorts and tee-shirts)
Thanks

Hi , you may want to post this on the Trip Planning Forum for more input.

I think April or early May (missing Easter) and October are good times to go for reasonable crowd levels and nice weather without being too hot.

January is usually pretty quiet but the weather is too much on the cool side, whilst June, July and August offer variable crowd levels but is much too hot.

We have only ever been in October, but we find the temperature just right. The heat is not too overpowering and it's not too busy either. No 2 hour waits for rides etc.

The best time for me is the day after Thanksgiving for the next 10 days. Beautiful decorations, crowds thin out right after Thursday. Weather can be cold but I've been 4 times and it was always pleasant for most of the time and we could swim at least a few days but then I'm from New England so we are use to cold weather. Thanks giving day is best spent away from the parks or in animal kingdom which is usually not crowded on this day.

We normally go somewhere between mid September and mid October. In September it's warmer, wetter but quieter, early in October there is a US holiday which makes it a bit busier, it's 'colder' (still T shirts and shorts though) and less chance of rain. We go in October one year and September the next to use one annual pass for two trips.

We've also been in early February, it was cold - jeans most days and fleeces for a few days as well. We've also had one trip in April where it was very hot, not sure whether this was normal for the time of year.
