Best time to visit when school is NOT in session

My daughter is in school and her school frowns upon taking them out for vacation. So that leaves us visiting with the crowds/heat/$$$ .. I am bummed, but I do want to visit again. What is the best time of the year to visit when school is NOT in session (winter break, spring break, summer break)???

When does your daughter get out for summer? We went in 08 the Saturday after Memorial day (may 31st) and stayed through Thursday the the first week of June and never had to get a fastpass. The longest line we waited in was Soarin at about 45 minutes. Even road Expedition Everest 11 times over a couple of days

Our spring break is the last week of April and I've found that's a good time to go. Weather is great and crowds are light to moderate.

We've also been in August. Its very hot and crowded. When we go then we go for at least 2 weeks. For us its too much to do commando touring in that kind of heat.

Well, Christmas, Easter and the 4th of July are the worst. We have gone the 3rd week of April like PP and it is good as long as it is not Easter. If you go in summer, 1st 2 weeks of June and then 2 weeks before Labor Day are usually your best bet. (Whichever works for you school's schedule.) We have also gone President's week. It was very crowded, however the weather wasn't hot so we found it manageable.

We were there Aug 5-12. We're both teachers, so we can NOT go while school is in session.

Yes, it was hot. But with some planning, you can go on everything you want in the morning hours, leaving those hot afternoons for lazing around the resort pool. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for any ride, and saw our kids' favorites (including Soarin', Splash and Big Thunder...) MULTIPLE times!
