We are going in March. For our MK day should we head directly to Seven dwarfs mine train or should we do other rides and get more stuff done early on and do that later. with limited hours i want to make sure we get our must do’s in. If the park closes at 6 and your in line for a ride at 5:45 how does that work? haven’t been in 12 years. very excited!!!! thanks so much

You could head there right away but be at the park well before rope drop, I think 7D is one of the rides that has been opening early (although I could be wrong). If you are in the first wave of guests in the morning it shouldn't be a long wait. Now that fast passes aren't a thing we usually hop in line somewhere in the time of the last 5 minutes of the park being open and the line is usually about 15-20 minutes max.

As long as you are in line 1 minute before park close, you get to ride. The only risk with waiting to the end of the day is missing out due to a mechanical issue, but our history has shown that those are more likely earlier in the day.

thank you so much!!

We rode it twice at park close. We got in line the first time about 15 minutes before park close with a posted wait time of 20 minutes. The line took 10 minutes. We got off the ride and was walking out of the queue when we noticed it was one minute before park close and the CM told us we could hop in line and ride it again, so we did. Waited 5 minutes and was on the very last train of the night. Pretty awesome!

In my experience, riding a headliner at park close is way less stressful for us than trying to be at the front of the line and jockeying for a good queue position at park open. I prefer to take it easy first thing in the morning and hit other big rides that don't garner as much attention in the morning.

And hopping in line for a Headliner at 1 minute before Close is a great way to ADD time to a Park day. :)

This sounds like a great plan!! thanks so much

Ride it first thing. Be at the park about an hour before opening. They have been opening early. IMO, BTMR is better-especially at night.

Unless you are at the front of the crowd, I would not do at RD, but agree that its great near park close.

I got in line with my 8 year old daughter at 1:58 on a 12-2AM extra magic hour day. We were on the ride in 30 minutes.

the end of night strategy works better than rope drop in my opinion. Of course you could ride at RD and at end of night to get the best of both worlds.

I’ve also waited 2 hours to ride and that was worth it. The ride is just that good.

We RD twice in early Dec and walked on both times. We then headed to Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder. All done before 8:30!
