We have recieved a few gifts that are not the right sizes or styles. My sister never sends gift receipts.
A friend also has a big heart and is generous but she also cannot keep up with reciepts.

Most are socks and underwear being the total wrong sizes....some from Target as I know their brands.

I just want to exchange some items so that the kids will have the right sizes.

SO...........is it better to exchange the items NOW, before Christmas so the kids will have everything now, without the crazy lines after Christmas.
Again I have do not have recipts, but this needs to be done,

I would wait. The return lines after are nothing compared to what the stores will be like the next 2 days. However, I have noticed Christmas Eve morning is typically dead in the stores so you might have luck then.

:goodvibes

How can socks be the wrong size? They're pretty universal. Even my 9yo can wear adult socks :confused3

I have been to Target the last two days at 8:30am to make separate returns and there was no one at the service desk. The store was pretty empty :confused3 and it is connected to the mall in our town. It doesn't seem to get busy until later morning/early noon and then stays busy for the rest of the day.

,

Target sells the same underwear that Walmart does-the name brands
I never knew they had a store brand?

and I dont get the socks being the wrong size either

Customer service seems to be busier in the days following Christmas. I would try to go before the holiday and at an odd time. Dinner time seems to work well for me. Most of the stay at homes are back at home to take care of dinner and the after-work crowd is grabbing something at the food court.

But really, how is it that socks are the wrong size? Did they buy them in the children's section for your teenage boys?

In their last years that they were still able to shop, my parents several times bought child-size shirts for my then teenage and early college-age sons. The boys were wearing the adult medium or large sizes they now wear, but my parents would present them with shirts in Sizes 10, 12, 14, something like that, purchased from Walmart. Apparently my brother who drove them there had no clue about sizes. :confused3

One of my sons has large feet, and socks do come in sizes. Smaller size ranges of adult socks do not fit him.

Unless they change their policy for xmas, the Target by us won't even do exchanges without a receipt. The OP may be out of luck.

As a former retail worker, wait till your local football team (college or pro) is on TV! The lines are non existent. :)

Of course Target has their own brand(s), Circo is one, my DD12 has some of their "unmentionables" lol. Socks can be the wrong size, I've made the mistake of sending the wrong size socks to my DD23 for my DGD. Luckily they were too big so DD kept them to give to her when she grew into them but yes, that is very possible.

Good advice!! :)

OP I hope you were able to get your exchanges done, if not go now, it should be calm enough at this point to get your business done. :)
