best time to go?

I'm wondering if it would be best to go:
22 May until 5 June 2008
or
2 June until 16 June 2008
Thinking about avoiding the largest crowds

Having been at various times of the year i always find late sept/early oct to be the least crowded

I would go for May as although covers Memorial Day the kids aren't out of school yet. Also chances are it won't be so rainy.

The US schools break up for summer holiday in June but not sure what part of the month.
To be honest I wouldn't see much difference in crowd levels or weather for either date combination.
If I had to choose guess I would go for the May/June one.

I would also go for the May/June option.

Although you will probably experience the afternoon rain showers June seems to be wetter. Also as Claire L points out the crowds should be a bit easier except for Memorial Day - just spend that day relaxing rather than doing a park. BTW the Malls always seem to be very very busy on holiday days so would recommend you avoid them too on Memorial Day.

We were there in May about 5yrs ago - but the first 2 weeks - crowds were quite low and the weather was great with just one rain shower in the afternoon.

You will have a great time either way.
