My wife and I are planning my sons first trip to disney next year. All though we have both been about 6 times and we even got married there...we are having trouble picking a good time to go. My wife has some health problems and has some major heat intolerancy issues. We always went in May through August and I don't think thats an option. We would like to go when it not blistering hot but the parks aren't closing at like 6 or 7.
My son will be 4, so any suggestions on resorts? We have stayed at ASM, WL and CR. WL is our fave and we absolutely love the Poly, but is it worth the extra money for the creature comforts of a deluxe resort is it going to be more worthwhile to go Value for my sons first experience? We have even considered renting points and staying at a DVC for a change, but we are not sure we woul like a DVC. Any thoughts or suggestions on DVC resorts?
It's kinda embarrasing considering we thought we were guru's on Disney...but we just want this to be perfect for our son. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
Thanx :confused3

I highly recommend the last part of April as far as temp and crowds. We have had wonderful experiences with our late April trips. I am a HUGE heat weanie!

We have stayed AKL, POR, ASM, POP, CBR and Saratoga. Enjoyed each and every one of them for different reasons. If I could afford to stay at a monorail resort, that would be my first choice :teeth: for convenience to MK.
