We are debating when to go in 2009, we like to vacation in the winter... Jan-Mar. When is the best time ie... least busy and best weather?? DS will be 9 1/2 and DD will be 6 1/2. & where to stay with a family of 4? Thanks for your help:)

Jan-Mar is peak tough to decide. Jan and Feb will definitely have less crowds (except Feb vacation weeks). March starts Spring Break crowds but the weather should be a little warmer. I think it depends which is more important to you...better weater or fewer crowds.

As for where to stay, you can't go wrong anywhere onsite. I say pick the park or area you like the best and then pick from the hotels closest to that area. We love the BC and Epcot/Boardwalk area best!!

Have fun!!

In my humble opinion----

Best time to go:
First Choice--after Thanksgiving but before Christmas--parks are beautifully decorated for the holidays, crowds low and weather nice.
Second Choice--end of April/beginning of May--crowds low, weather not too warm and the flowers at Epcot are breathtaking.

Best Choice for Resorts:
Value--POP Century
Moderate--POR
Deluxe--Wilderness Lodge

I would love to know that weather for right after Thanksgiving, is it like you NEED to wear jeans & sweatshirts or jeans & t-shirts...I would much rather do shorts & tshirts but will bend if Christmas is a great time to go

We usually go the first week of February. The crowds are pretty light. Next year we will be going in February and the for the first time...the first week in December. I cant wait to see the holiday decorations & MVMCP

This has been the coolest month of November that I can remember, and I have lived in Florida my entire life. When I say cool, I mean early morning and nightly lows of mid to high 50's. You can almost guarantee that by mid afternoon it will get up into the 70's if not the 80's or low 90's. Florida weather is all over the place. For instance, by the end of this week, the low will be in the high 60's  . I remember having a Christmas a couple of years ago in T-shirts and shorts. I also remember a Christmas from about 15 years ago where it got so cold here, it froze our power lines and we had to sleep infront of our fire place (I guess that's why fire places are in Florida homes - every once in 15 years it gets REALLY cold :lmao:).

Anyway, I would bring a sweat shirt just incase. But most likely you won't need it. :goodvibes
