Best time to go for both MNSSHP and MVMCP

My best friend and I are talking about hitting WDW in 4 years for a combo trip for both of our 50th (her's is in Sept, mine Nov), and we wanted to take advantage of both MNSSHP and MVMCP while we were down there, when's the best time to do that, and is a multiple week thing, or can it be done in one week? We were there 4 years ago for my birthday, and went to MVMCP (and it was AMAZING), so we wanted to change it up a bit.

The last MNSSHP is on Halloween Night (10/31) and the first MVMCP is on 11/7.

This year we are doing this and arriving on 10/31 to attend the last MNSSHP and will leave on 11/8 and will attend the 11/7 MVMCP. So we were able to do the parties a week apart. We are very excited as we have never been to either and the Food and Wine Fest is also going on which we have never done.
