Best time to go during the holidays?

Hi all, sorry if this is a repeat, I looked through quite a few of the posts and couldn't find the question.....

When is the best time, for crowds, ride and event openings, etc. to go see DLR during the Holidays?

I want to take my family and pretty much just enjoy the views, but I wanted to figure out when we're the least likely to be dealing with crazy numbers. When does it get really really busy? When does it slow down? How long after X-mas does it go away?

When I lived here when I was younger, we typically went during the very busiest time, between X-mas and New Years! Not doing that with three kids!
Plus, I'd like to be able to take my Mom, who will be here pretty much the month of Dec. and into early January. She'll need one of the motorized wheelchairs to get around. Since she doesn't use one all the time, it's particularly important to have some space to move around.

I'm not sure of actual numbers, because they never release that. A good way of telling is looking at the season pass blackout dates....

I've always heard that the week before Christmas isn't too bad. But to be honest, I'm sure it's busy throughout that entire time.

Any Tues-Thurs before Christmas will be your best bet. Avoid weekends, week between Christmas and NYE and the week after NYE.
