Best time to get FP for RSR on EMH morning?

When is the best time to get a FP for RSR on an EMH morning? We plan on doing Soarin, TSMM, California Screamin, and whatever else we can fit in the first hour of an EMH morning. Do the FP machines for RSR open right at standard park open time and when is best to get in line? The day we are there EMH starts at 9 and rope drop is at 10. If we try to grab FP's around 10:30 will that half hour give the FP line some time to go down? Are there any attractions not open for CA EMH?

When we were there, they opened the FP distribution at standard park opening time. I wouldn't worry about rushing to get a FP though, unless you are trying to get multiple FP for the day. We had no problem getting multiple FP the same day. One for around 10am (got 9am as soon as it opened) and the other for 7:30pm (got around 12:30 or so - called Ask Otto to find out the return times as we wanted to ride RSR at night - though from what read, the Disneyland App now shows FP return times). And all the times went to get a FP, there really was no line to speak of. Not sure if we just got lucky in that regards, but that was our experience last week.

If you get all the stuff done you plan to do the first hour, try and get one when the park opens and grab another one when your window opens. A few weeks ago, I was able to pull an RSR FP at 1:30 (with a 10pm return time). The park opened at 8 that day.
