We plan to be at DL on Saturday, Oct 8 and want to do breakfast with Minnie and friends. Would you suggest we do the earliest time possible? Will all the characters be there at 7:15 am? I expect the food will be hot and fresh!
Mahalo.

They bring out fresh food constantly. While I always recommend the earliest time you can get, freshness of the food should really not be a concern.

We always try to do the earliest time possible, especially on an MM day, that way as soon as we are done, the whole park is open! And not so many people are there that early and you get amazing character interaction!!!

I think it depends on whether you have access to MM/EMH or not. Saturdays are usually EMH/MM for DLR, which means the first reservation time is usually about 10 minutes after the start of EMH/MM. If you don't have access to EMH/MM, then I would try to make a reservation for as early as possible (e.g., 7:10 am or as close to that as possible). If you have access to EMH/MM, personally, I would try to take advantage of EMH/MM and do some attractions with fairly low crowds and then schedule breakfast for later in the morning (closer to 10:00 am).

Thanks! We will not have access to EMH/MM, so I'll aim for the earliest time possible. I was just worried that not all of the characters would be there at 7:10am, but it looks like the earlier we go, the more interaction we'll get. Now....if only DL would open reservations up for October so I can finalize our plans. So excited!!!

They all won't be out to begin with, but they all should be out before the time you are ready to go. I would suggest as early as possible as well. As others said, the interaction is great then, as there will be less people to vie for their attention :)

We have done exactly what you plan to do. Now we wait for Disney to open Plaza Inn's Oct reservations.
With a 7:10 reservation, you'll have time to get settled in as the characters begin to circulate.
We usually do our CB on our last day, so we're not itching to go on rides.
We plan to hang out for about 1.5 hours. This way we get to see several characters.
Our last CB (a Saturday) we saw the following Fairy GodMother, Hook, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Tigger, Pooh, Rafiki, Eore and a Penguin.

The best time is the earliest possible. They'll have plenty of characters out, and less competing guests. Plus hot, fresh food as you said.

The only time we did Minnie's we did the 7:10 seating and it was fabulous. The characters take their time because the tables aren't all full immediately and they really had a blast. It was just me and my hubby but we agreed it was totally worth getting up extra early for. We had such great interactions in a non rushed fun environment and was only my third character meal ever ( first Disneyland one!) and I can't say enough great things.

We have the four day passes and have access to one MM, but if we use that in the first day or so do you think it would be wise to get a 7:10 reservation for later in the week? Are we allowed to do that?

Can someone please tell me the price for Adult for this? I cant seem to find it on the website.

We went last week for a magic morning just and then did breakfast at 10:30. Even that late in the morning all the characters were still there. Some even came to our table twice! So seeing all the characters shouldn't be a concern. Also the food was still hot and fresh. It's an excellent character meal!!

We really enjoyed the 10am time. We just had a light snack early morning and then we were full until dinner time :)

Yes you can! When you do Plaza Inn on a MM day and you aren't doing MM, you go to the marked turnstyle at the end of all the turnstyles, it says character breakfast, and you give them your name and they check their list and let you in.

I was just about to ask about this! At WDW, we've had many character breakfasts where they let us into the park (MK, Epcot, AK) before the slated opening because we were on the reservation list. Glad to know that if I wanted to hit Minnie's Breakfast early on a Saturday, I just show my AP with the early ADR time.

That said, until they get Donald Duck in there instead of Max or one of the chipmunks, I'm not sure I'll be spending my money to get in. There's just too much Chip&Dale at the character meals.

We like the latest breakfast seating we can get. As the place clears out, you get phenomenal character interactions, plus we don't miss our early-morning touring. Last time, Captain Hook and Dale fought over my DD8, and she was just so excited about it!
