Best time to book for Dec trip?

We are planning an early Dec. trip this year. I was just wondering when and if there is a best time to start thinking about booking stuff? Do you think there will be any deals offered closer to the time...like stay three nights get one free etc?

I doubt they will offer any specials. But, if you book through Disney travel or AAA, they will honor any discounts. We just booked for our lat November trip. I do know that most hotels book up fast for that time of year

I think it kind of depends on where you want to stay and if you want to book a package. I'm sure deals pop up throughout the year.

I took my chances and book HoJos for Dec at their entertainment rate of $59 a night for four nights. Then I purchased e-tickets on the disneyland.com where they offer $40 off 5 day hopper tickets. So I saved $160 dollars. Who knows, there may be better deals down the road. But I believe Hojos can run out of rooms at the ent. rate so I didn't want to risk waiting.

Of course, if you're looking for a package deal, there's so many available from different places. I guess that's something you'd have to shop around for.

Also, I think if you want to stay onsite you can get good discounts with an AP or Disney visa but I'm not sure because I have neither and can't afford to stay onsite!

I have 2 sets of 4 nites at HoJo's booked for early Dec. (got the ent. rates) Once I find out when the CM parties are I'll cancel 1 of the reservations. I plan to upgrade our park hoppers to AP's during our trip later this month. I'll look around for airfare once the CM parties info is available ~ sometime in Sept. I'm guessing.
