Best time in May?

I won't be going back to WDW until next May, 2006... I have never been there that time of year, is there a better "time" of the month to go? We were thinking either the 1st or 2nd week. DH and I are staying offsite with my parents at their Marriott timeshare, so we won't be able to take advantage of EMH and I'm worried about the crowds. We were also planning on only staying for 4 days or so, and then spending another 3-4 days down in Key West.

Thanks,
Melissa

Keep in mind that Easter is late next year--April 16. As far as room rates, peak season continued for the three weeks following Easter, which will be through the first week of May. We are going on the western cruise on May 6 and I wanted to go to WDW before our cruise. Based on peak season rates, we will be doing our time in the parks after the cruise when it goes back to regular rates. Still not as good as value, but better than peak!

Well we already have a place to stay, my parents have a timeshare. I'm just not sure what week to try for...
