Best time in June to Visit

Please help. We are planning our first trip to DL and can go anytime during the first 3 weeks of June (next year 2004). What is the best week to choose. We want to see Fantasmic and the electrical parade. I have to small children, 5 and 2 so won't be staying at the parks till mid night so I thought that before the third week might be better crowd wise. Is this true?

The third week of June is the official start of the summer hours, which means the parks are open late every night and there are fireworks/parades each night. The first two weeks in June may be a little less crowded, but Fantasmic probably won't be running, and there will only be fireworks on the weekends.

I think you should plan for the third week if you really want to see all the shows. It shouldn't make a huge difference crowd-wise, and you won't run into as many school groups taking their end-of-the-year trips.

tiggeroo42 gave great advice. Only thing I can add is that we're currently in the 3rd week of June now, and there are 2 nights this week where the park closes early (Wed & Thurs) for Grad Nights for local high schools. Just so you know...
