Best Time For DisneyWorld

I would like to plan a trip once my son turns 3 (he'll turn 3 Nov. 2014). My husbands family is big on Disney, but only ever go in the summer. I teach, so am limited in time during the school year. I suggested Christmas Break (I'd love to see it decorated for the holidays!) or Spring Break, but DH says it'll be too crowded. Thoughts on best time of year to visit?

I am a teacher so I understand the time crunches you face.
We have been in
-early June...very crowded and hot but super fun.
- Last weekend in September for a short trip. It was 90 degrees but not very crowded and we got to attend the MNSSHP
- we will be there for Christmas and this is the highest crowds in the park season, but we can not wait for the lights.

My TA says Feb is one of the best months for smaller crowds.
