Would the 4:30 be too packed? Looking for the best time to go w/ 2 lil' ones and most character interaction thanks.

We went around that time in November (i think it was 4:45) and were in the first group of sittings. It wasn't too full but as dinner went on the restaurant filled up quickly. I have read of some people on these boards waiting 90 minutes or more after their reservation because some people just take longer at he buffets and to see the characters (great by the way, simply love the stepsisters). Going early, we avoided having to wait for others to finish which was a plus because we have two little ones who get impatient to eat and we saw the characters with lots of interaction (DD8 was asked by Prince Charming to dance and she refused because she is so shy).

We had a 4:30 seating a couple of weeks ago. No wating, and it wasn't really all that busy. It filled up quickly though. I'd say it was mostly full by 5-5:15.

ETA: They do a little ceremony to open the doors right at 4:30, when they begin seating people. Also, when the doors opened, Cinderella and Prince Charming escorted one of the little Princesses to her seat. I'm not sure if she was just the first one there or celebrating something special or hhow they picked her though.

I think definitely the earlier the better with character dinners!! We did a 4:45pm ADR there in Nov, and it definitely just got increasingly crowded as the evening went on. Get on in there before they have a chance to get backed up and while the characters are still fresh! ;)

We had the 4:45 seating in October and noticed that they don't even open up the doors until 4:30 (we got there way too early). Once the doors opened, the few people that were sitting around waiting all went in and we were all seated very quickly. Since the dining room was pretty much empty still, we were met by our server immediately, had our drinks within just a couple of minutes and managed to have plenty of time to get the kids' food before Cindy and her family came out. Since the dining room was still fairly empty, the Prince and Cindy spent plenty of time with the kids - which was good because my DS was in a talkative mood that night and talked to Prince Charming for a very long time. And I was so impressed because he never once looked like he was in a rush to go to another table. He just acted interested in hearing everything my son had to say. Needless to say, 1900 Park Fare is now one of our favorite places to eat!! :lovestruc

This actually happened to us during our visit in late November. They chose my DD (6) to open the restaurant. They called her up front and she said the magical words "Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boo" and the doors opened and Cinderella and Prince Charming were there and greeted her and walked her to our table. It was awesome!! I could have cried because she was so happy. We were not celebrating anything, we were just waiting to be seated and a very nice lady just started talking to us and asked her if she wanted to help open the restaurant. So, IMO, I would go with the 4:30. You never know- you might get picked!!!!

We're fans of 4:30 too! It's great - everyone is fresh and happy (waitstaff, characters etc). And it doesn't feel rushed. Ditto on the seating situation if you're one of the early reservations the place isn't full and you don't have to wait!
