Complete noob here but just booked a family trip to Disneyland Paris arriving on 21 May

Can someone point me in the best direction to an explanation of the best ticket option assuming we will go back for three days in September/October?

If I get one Annual Dream Passport and visit the parks for 3 days with my wife and two children (5and6 yrs old) will I break even on the cost of the passport ?

Should I get sponsored and get a 10% discount on the cost of the passport and if so can someone explain this process to me.

Is there any advantage if I purchase 1000 - 2000 shares in Eurodisney to benefit from shareholder discounts ?

APols for all the questions but I have been trying to find the answers and end up with just more questions :scared: someone give me a DIsney4Dummies suggestion or two please

Thanks in advance

B

Hi Bobbie. The best offer for you is the "child under 7 free annual passport". You get one child passport free when you purchase an adult one, so for you, 2 adult passports = 2 under 7 passports free!!
You must ask for this offer at the gates of DLP, they do not advertise it at the park and will not normally offer it as standard. Ask as many questions from the members of this board, everyone has really useful information.
Enjoy your trip!!

Thanks for the advice :)

Can I still avail of 2 * annual passport sponsorship if I want to get the kids under 7 free passports also ?

or should I simply get one Adult Passport and purchase discounts tickets for each of us every day ?

Hi Bobbieb1968 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

I've moved this to a new thread as you will get more replies.
If you have a sponsor request feel free to post up on the sponsor thread :)

Thanks for the welcome and for magicing .pixiedust: my post to a separate thread.

Was hoping I could hide all my stupid questions amongst other peoples sensible posts :rolleyes1 but with my own thread thats gonna be a lot harder to do

Think I finally understand the annual passport thing

In addition to this trip we will probably go back to Eurodisney in the Autumn for 3 to 4 days also and again before next summer .......

......... sooooooooo should I really get a passport for myself and my better half (then opt for a free under 7s for each of our two kids) .... or am I as well off just getting a single passport ?

In addition; if I want to get sponsored can I still avail of the free under 7s passports for the kids ?

Umm in case it makes any difference to the advice above, I also purchased 2000 shares in Eurodisney today  so I can apply for whatever their standard shareholder benefits are .... seemed like I may as well cover all the bases for potential special offers / discounts.

Any further advice/suggestions greatly appreciated :jumping1:

:grouphug: <------ huddle here to laugh at my silly questions

Thanks a mil in advance and apols once again for asking so many Qs !

If you join the shareholders club use the 15% discount to purchase the AP's. I'm pretty sure you will not be able to use a sponsor as you cannot combine offers ( I could be wrong though) If your going again it would make sense to purchase AP's for yourself and your better half.

No such thing as silly questions, there are many people to help:thumbsup2

Sounds perfect Nikki - pretty nice return on the cost of getting the shares :goodvibes

Can anyone else confirm that it is possible to get two kids under 7 passports free when you purchase two Adult Dream Passports ?

Also wondering if the VEA coaches from CDG drop off at the Radisson SAS Hotel ? ? ? I had a quick look at the VEA website and this hotel is not mentioned despite being located at Disneyland Golf Resort. Never dawned on me that VEA may not actually stop there :scared:

VEA coach with lots of other families ---> Disney ---> Hotel sounds like a lot more fun for my kids than hopping into a taxi.

Seems like they both cost similar amount.

How does the travel time compare by BSTransport compared to VEA Coach assuming they both leave a the same time ?

..... and for the record one is never enough so what is the plural of Twix pls :thumbsup2

w0w I never thought I could ask so many questions about something so simple

DIsney4Dummies

Hi Bobbie1968 and a warm welcome to the booard from me too :wave2:

I wish someone had also done one of those guides for me too :rotfl: but the posters here are REALLY helpful so just continue to ask away :thumbsup2

Received my contract note from brokers today so will be busily completing that for shareholder application benefits w00t

Can anyone else confirm the availability of two free passes for Under 7s when you purchase two Adult Dream Passports ? OR should I just stick with the one passport and use it to purchase four 3 day park hoppers ?

Hmmmm must think of more questions :surfweb:

.... anything I havent asked that I really should know ?

Kids are gonna be sooooooooooooo thrilled :cloud9:

Hi!

I wish you a wonderful stay at Disneyland Resort Paris!:wizard:

Yes, i think you should buy two annual passes for you and your better half. No matter which Annual Passports you buy, you get one free "under 7 years" Passport for each adult Passport. If you get a discount on your adult Passports or not is not important for that.

Shareholders get a 15% discount on the Annual Passports they buy for themselves and their families living in the same household. This offer can not be combined with the Sponsorship.

You should think about if the additional costs for dream APs are worth it or if the cheaper Fantasy APs are ok for you.

I just see one Problem for you: Usually, the procedure of becoming a member of the Shareholders Club takes about 6 weeks. These 6 weeks start when you send your membership form to them and end when you recieve your membership card.
If you do not get your membership card in time, you can try to get a temporary membership card at "Salon Mickey" outside the Park next to Guest Relations. Be sure to bring a proof that you own the shares.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Greetings from Germany, Wuzefelix

That sounds like great news thanks. I was concerned that I may not make the 6 week window to get shareholder membership as I had to wait until yesterday to receive my contract note from my broker confirming share purchase popcorn::

The price differential on two Dream passports (after Shareholder discount) is only about €70 which I would readily pay to give both of my kids an extra couple of hours in the parks and would also focus the mind on making sure we visit again in the autumn.

Hopefully we can pick up some nice 15th anniversary limited edition pins to commemorate the trip. Would be great to mount then around pictures of the holiday and hang em up at home
