So far we have reservations at Sci Fi, Ohana, Coral Reef and LeCellier. I am thinking about canceling LeCellier and adding something that might be a little more fun, possibly Boma. We love the well themed restaurants. Any suggestions. Some we have already done and don't care to do again - 50's Prime Time, Crystal Palace, or Biergartin. Thank you for any suggestions!

Yak and Yeti. Great theming and great food. :)

you are a very smart person.....Le Cellier is definitely not a winner with atmosphere OR steak for that matter! I got a lousy piece of meat last time i went. Everything was just blah. New menu or not, i will not return! Ditto for 50's, the fried chicken was soooo salty. Table next to mine complained of the same thing, so maybe it was an off day? I dunno. Either way the food didnt impress me. But the atmosphere was fun!!
Sci Fi IS AMAZING!!! I mostly pick restaurants on atmosphere because im happy eating pretty much anything....burgers, ribs, chicken, whatever! I find Sci Fi a lot of fun. Nothing beats sitting/eating in a convertible and watching clips.
:cool1:
Have you thought about TRex at DTD??? So much fun! Esp in the ice room! love the meteor shower.

I didn't care for TRex; we were in the ice room and it was way too noisy for me (and it happens every 20 minutes....)

Are you looking for characters? Fun type atmosphere? Are you travelling with kids?

Teppan Edo is fun. So is Garden Grill.

We have been to Primetime twice and this last time we had a particularly sarcastic server so don't think we'll be doing that again.

My teens also liked Chefs and Le Cellier for lunch. Yes it's a cellar but the burgers and soup were really good.

How about Marrakesh? I love how complete the theming is- how you duck into that pavillion and it's like you've left the park. I also have seafood bastilla cravings!

I think theming wise San Angel Inn is best. That being said I think the food is kind of average at best.

Whispering Canyon can be fun. I'm not sure how the food is at San Angel/Mexico, but it would be fun to sit in there.

OMG how can i forget about Teppan Edo!? I LOVE THAT PLACE!! Its one of my fave places....my DS11 loves it too. VERY entertaining watching them cook in front of you. We love it. :)

S.A. just beautiful..
Ohana feel like Im back in waikiki
Boma love the food and theme
Biergarten like being at a big pot luck in the middle of a little bavarian village
I hear Marakesh is very nice..

IMO, Sci-Fi has the best all around theming, but we aren't fond of the food.

We don't really like the food at SAI either, but the atmosphere is really nice.

Garden Grill rotates around Living with the Land which is pretty cool and is one of the more relaxed character meals.

If you have a hibachi restaurant where you live, skip TE. However, if you don't or have never been to this type of restaurant, it is worth checking out.

The theming at Boma isn't anything special, however it gives you a chance to explore AKL if you haven't been there before.

I think you would love Teppan Edo in Japan at EPCOT, the theming is great and the dinner service is fantastic. The best overall themeing for a resturant would probably be San Sangel also at EPCOT, you'll feel like your at the mexican pyramids for sure lol. I think that LeCellier is way too overrated, the atmosphere is gloomy and more like a dungeon than a wine cellar, the service is very spotty, we have yet to have an excellent server in all the times we have been there and I always feel rushed and like they are doing me a favor when I need something like extra napkins. Especially now that it is a signature resturant, it is way overpriced as well. I think your kids would love Teppan Edo and you as well if you have never been there before. Good luck!

I love Teppan Edo, the food is great, but there really isn't anything special in regards to themeing. It looks like most other hibachi restaurants you can find throughout the country.

The food and service at San Angel is the worst I've ever experienced at Disney. Never again.:sad2:

They're much improved, since the opening of La Hacienda across the promenade. My meal there last fall was the best of my four or five meals there over the years.

Maybe give them another try.

Best theme for me was San Angel Inn, glad to hear they have improved the menu...we went in 2009 and were not impressed! I would love to eat there again....watching the water under the "stars".....so cool!!
