First time DL visit in about 45 days, I heard that Blue Bayou is a beautiful restaurant with great theming. Any other table service restaurants we should visit based on atmosphere and theming

Outside patio at Carnation Cafe is one of my favorites. Right on Main Street

Although not a great vantage point to actually see it, it is fun to be eating while a parade is passing by.

Carthay Circle over in DCA has a nice atmosphere (slightly upscale) and its nicely decorated. Cafe Orleans doesn't really have any theming to speak of, but it has a nice atmosphere. If you dine on the patio, with a rail side table, there is a good view of New Orleans Square and the Rivers of America.

To get the full effect at Blue Bayou try to get close to water side (I think this is the best themed/atmosphere dining in all of DLR). I also enjoy Carthay Circle and Napa Rose for a lovely atmosphere (and really good food). I find dining at Cafe Orleans, where Figment suggested, is a great place to view the area -- you feel immersed in the land. Also, it sounds like downstairs at the new Lamplight Lounge has some pretty great theming.

If you are also headed to DCA, it looks like the new Lamplight Lounge that just opened has a nice Pixar theme and an interesting menu. And the new drinks menu also looks very inventive.

Blue Bayou has the best theme for a table service restaurant, but I also like the (quick service, but on real plates) Rancho Del Zocalo area, which somehow feels like it could be in some Wild West town!

And while it isn't table service, Flo's V8 Cafe in DCA has a fantastic theme and great views from every seat. Either you are watching Cars Characters come and go on the busy streets or watching cars race around the track on Radiator Springs Racers, so fun!

Have fun planning!

Definitely Blue Bayou! Also love the atmosphere (and food !) at Steakhouse 55 in the DLH. Storyteller's in the DGC is very relaxing (outside of the breakfast buffet). Good food there, too.

We did not dine at Red Rose Tavern, but I did no in and take a look. It is quick service and not table, but it is nicely done.

May I ask, what high end eating place does>

Lots of places match what they are offering, food/ atmosphere, with their prices. But with some places it's way out of balance. Blue bayou is one of those. Carthay Circle does. Jazz kitchen does as well but I'd call that more of a casual dining place. But definitely way better value regardless with much better food. At BB your paying to look at the water and for some that's enough to justify their recently increased prices.

We also love sitting on the patio at Carnation Cafe.

Golden Vinery in DCA offers some appetizers with beer/wine flights and we love the vibe. Its nice and chill and above the hustle of the parks. Not a TS per say but we have made a meal from the options.

We ate at Blue Bayou on our recent visit. While the atmosphere is nice, it was so dark that we could not see what we were eating, which I found a bit disturbing.

Blue Bayou has the best theming. We also like Red Rose Taverne. Carnation Cafe and River Belle Terrace aren't as well-themed, but are great for people and event watching if you're outside. I also like the other restaurant in NOS where you can eat on the patio under the shade where they have the stage and listen to jazz ... I can never remember the name of it. Either Cafe Orleans or French Market?

We usually do Flo's V8 in DCA because my kids like the 50s theming.

Edited to add: Sorry, just realized you were asking specifically for TS! Red Rose and the patio restaurant I was thinking about in NOS are not TS.

I booked a table at Café Orleans on Halloween last year, the evening of a Halloween party before we got kicked out around 7 (made Ressie for 6), and it was so fun watching all the costumed arrive, and their excitement as the dusk was settling in and the party was getting close. Then we hopped over to DCA and came back out to the hub to watch the Halloween fireworks. So much fun.
