Best sushi in "the world"?????

the last time I had sushi at thee Polynesian, it had to be the thinnest slice of fish i have ever seen. I would not order sushi from there again, it was a rice ball with a sliver of fish on it.

I like kimonos or California grill... but not a big fan of California grill's rolls.

Kimonos
Wolfgang Puck at DTD (West Side; sit at the sushi bar)
CA Grill
Tokyo Dining
Kona Sushi Bar

Puck & CA Grill are pretty evenly matched in our opinion; Kona Sushi Bar was fine for a quick snack but their offerings are very limited.

CALIFORNIA GRILL by far has the best sushi in "the world". It's so delicous and fresh and prepared so perfectly! And I read in an article that the sushi chef is world reknowned and has been there for 15years!
You can go there and sit in the lounge and just get sushi and a drink, you dont have to have reservations for dinner.

I also really like the sushi at Wolfgang Puck cafe.

This year I'll be going to Kimono's at the Swan & Dolphin which is supposed to have superb sushi.

Restaurant.com runs promotions for periods of time each month where there is a discount code to use. I believe right now you can get them for 70% off ($3) for using the word MEAL at checkout. I think it runs through Monday night.

There is a minimum $35 dollar purchase but that's easy for us when eating sushi.

yes that is true. I got one for Kimono's actually. Paid $2 for a $25 gift cert. ALso got one for Blue Zoo, same price.

I do have a bit of a warning about California Grill. The sushi chef there has her own special sushi rice recipe that only she can make. My DD, who LOVES veggie and tamago (egg) sushi, hated the rice. It is quite unusual with a sweet flavor and even I was not wild about it.

Staring Rolls at Hollywood Studios has Sushi and it's pretty good. Best of all, it's on the quick service dining plan. Plus, it's a nice size service - DH and I could share it.

Haven't been to either California Grill or Kimono's, so can not comment on them, but did just eat at Wolfgang Puck's (excellent) and Kona (good, but limited selection).

I had the best roll of my life at Cali Grill in May, it was the spicey kazan roll. I was so full from it I could hardly touch my entree.

We enjoyed the sushi at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe on the west side, sat at the sushi bar and watched the guy make our rolls. We have also had good sushi at the Japanese steakhouse style restaurant (sorry, can't remember the name) in Japan at EPCOT.

Wolfgang Pucks in DTD and Kimonos in the Swan.

If you can get in at CG - then Try the Snake in the Grass! YUM!
