I am so indecisive!! I am going to Disney World with my best friend for a very quick trip. I want to surprise her with one really cool "something". She used to be a castmember, so I am only listing things she has never done before. We did Keys to the Kingdom and Hidden Treasures a few years ago. Which would you pick? (I'd love it if you would also tell why when voting - it might help me to decide!) :confused3

I would suggest either Dive Quest (if you are divers) or Dolphins in Depth. Both are spectacular experiences. The dolphines make me cry. I did the Dive Quest as a surprise for my DH last June and he was thrilled with the experience. It is very controlled dive, but loads of fun and my dd's LOVED watching daddy in "Mickey's Fish Tank". Both are very unusual experiences. It would make a lifetime memory :goodvibes

we try to do at least one splurge while we're at wdw...this time it's a the adirondack adventure spa package at ssr....can't wait!!!

My something else would be lunch or dinner with an Imagineer. That seems like it would be so cool. We're hoping to do that in maybe our 2006 trip.

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

i voted for segway tour... they just looked sooo neat when we were there last... dh is dying to try one but i think it would be boring to go alone, and the kids are too young... what does everyone else do? go alone? get a sitter? skip it?

I voted Victoria and Albert's but that is only because I have never been and would love it. Probably more pampering would be the Spa treatment. I think it depends on her. What kinds of things does she like to do? Does she really enjoy a good meal or is she more into pamering herself? Or is she more of a do something kind of person?

I've actually planned a surprise Segway Tour for Valentine's Day. I read about the Segway Tour on these boards and asked my husband about it. He thought it sounded like big fun, so I made a reservation. Our son doesn't know about it - he's going to be very surprised.

Can't wait!

is your son old enough for the segwey tour? my kids are too young (min age is 16yo) :guilty:

I did the tea last summe with my mother-in-law, my daughter{30}, and her 2 daughters 8, & 1. We enjoyed it! All us girls. It was a nice relaxing break! I had a hard time choosing I am also thinking of the Segway tour, but I've not done it, just seen it when we were there on the Yuletide Fantasy Tour, it looked fun. Hope to do this next Dec.

I second Dive quest and the Dolphin encounter as something you should consider. Spas, meals and teas are something you can fondly look back at but I bet a Dolphin encounter would make her GRIN for years!!!!
It's my personal taste I'll admit but I would much rather do something interactive and well just active period. I have heard its an incredible experience and it is something I can't do at home as we lack well- Dolphins. :)

All in all I'm sure she'll love whatever you choose. Here's some pixie dust! :wizard:

I chose Victoria & Albert's. It's an absolutely amazing experience if you are a foodie. We had a special lunch there as part of the Happy Haunts event last year & it was to die for.

Would love to splurge on a massage; need one right now because I need to unwind from days of packing and dancing as we leave this Sunday

I agree with Brina,

It is a girls trip so do something girlie. I would love to spend a day getting pampered and powered. It is something I would never have time to do at home with work and housework. So that would be a wonderful time well spend for me on a vacation.

I am surprising my family with a Cirque show. :ssst: I know they will sit there the whole time with their mouths open in awe. Might not be a pretty sight but I can't wait!!

My best surprise splurge was two things....

-I set up a scavenger hunt through Gifts of a Lifetime for my parents and two daughters.

-Did a WISHES cruise to surprise my dad for his 65th birthday. :wizard:

Both of these were surprises for my family and it turned out to be a great surprise! :teeth:
