Best sunscreen for water parks

We just saw my son's dermatologist. She recommended always starting with a lotion, reapply often. Only use a spray if lotion was the first application.

She recommended Neutrogena or Blue Lizard.

We did explain that we would be at the beach 2-3 days, then Disney 2 weeks and that my son is going to be a lifeguard this summer and this was her recommendation, along with wearing a t-shirt and hat/visor.

My husband has had several pre melanoma lesions taken off. His dermatologist recommended Neutrogena. We get the highest SPF we can find. He also wears shirts with a SPF of at least 50 over the sunscreen. If we had young children I would make sure they wore a swim shirt, also called a rash guard, with a higher SPF. We also do what the previous poster said, put on 30 minutes before we go outside and at least an ounce. We took our adult children to WDW for 5 days and used 3 tubes of sunscreen. My kids call me the sunscreen queen!:rotfl2:

I am a redhead so very fair skin. The best sunscreen I have used is bullfrog marathon mist continuous spray sun block SPF 50. It is the only sunscreen I have not had any burning with and I have tried many brands. What I like the best is the spray. I hate the greasy feel of lotion and having to make sure I don't have any white streaks of lotion that did not blend in. All I do is spray and go. I even have reapplied when still wet and no problems. If you can't find it in the stores you can purchase it on line.
