Looking for recommendations for the best sunblock to wear at the beach for someone with sensitive skin.

DH has eczema and DD9 is a fair-skinned blonde who also has eczema and they use Neutrogena with no problems. I can't remember which one, but it is a lotion, not a spray, and they use SPF 55-80. It's really light and non-greasy. I use it too even though I don't have skin issues. I want to say it is the "Ultra Light" or something like that. (Wouldn't you know it....I can't find a single bottle here at the house....better add it to the shopping list;) )

We use Coppertone. DD#2, DS & I are all really pale and we do not get sunburned with this brand. Plus DD has a lot of allergies and sensitive skin. This brand does not seem to bother her. I usually buy Pure & Simple or the Sport version.

We use the Neutrogena spray. DS is allergic to everything and has no problems with it at all.

DD and I both have very sensitive skin and I'm really pale.. I use blue lizard sensitive skin formula on her and I use Clinique sunscreen for me. Both of them are great at preventing burns and they don't irritate our skin. DH who has red hair and white skin also uses blue lizard and doesn't burn

Both of my kids have sensitive skin and they also use Blue Lizard for Sensitive skin. It works really well.

The best that I have found for my son and husband is a homemade blend that a friend of mine makes. It is natural with no chemicals. Last year was the first year we had used it. My husband is really bad about reapplying and did not burn at all. Not sure if I'm allowed to post her etsy link or not. Message me if you would like the link. Or someone let me know if I can post the link.

I've read mineral based and non-spray works the best. Meaning titanium dioxide, zinc oxide.

Those of us with sensitive skins usually cannot wear the mass produced brands that are full of chemicals and heavy fragrance: Coppertone, Banana Boat, Water Babies, etc.

As mentioned, we usually do best with mineral based brands such as: Blue Lizard, California Baby, Badger, etc.

Best of luck, Tiger

Neutragena lotion for sensitive skin. Not cheap. Must be reapplied. My skin is really sensitive and if I wash this stuff off after beach right away, I'm good. It has zinc Oxiide in it which seems to be the key for me. I can not use any waterproof sprays.

I use Blue Lizard. No nasty chemicals. You can find it at Drugstore.com.
Dermotologist recommended.
