After being given some excellent advice by fellow DISers, I have decided to go for a suite, rather than a villa/hotel room to accommodate 5 (maybe 6) of us.

I wanted to ask everyone if they could recommend suites for me to look at. So far, I have looked at Cypress Pointe and Staybridge Suites - thanks to them being mentioned on here. Any others I should consider?

Thanks!

We stayed at Bonnet Creek in December. Its right next door to Disneys Caribbean Beach. We had a 2 bedroom deluxe for $120. It was fantastic. Huge pool, lazy river, lots of activities etc. Must be the closest you can get to Disney without staying at a Disney property. We booked directly with an owner and would definitely go back. We have also stayed at both Homewood Suites on International Drive. Loved both. Also stayed at Saratoga Springs which is fantastic but expensive. However did get a great deal for this August 44% off and free dining. If you were looking for a relatively cheap suite then I can also highly recommend Quality Suites in Lake Buena Vista. We paid $79 a night and that includes breakfast.

We are staying at the Hilton Embassy Suites International Drive South, info here.... http://www.embassysuitesorlando.com/

It looks lovely(although a tad expensive)+can't wait to stay here,it will be our first time in a suite.
Free cooked breakfast every morning-bacon,sausage,eggs,omlettes,waffles,cereal etc...Managers reception 2 hrs every evening-free drinks inc alcohol,nibbles.Seperate bedroom+vanity area,flatscreen tv,wardrobes.Lounge with pull out sofa bed,dining table+chairs,pouffe,flatscreen tv,easy chair.Wet bar-inc fridge,microwave,sink+cupboards.Free shuttles to Disney+Universal.2swimming pools,sauna,whirlpool,fitness room+lots more.
It always gets very good reviews on trip advisor+another Disney forum.x.

If you still wanted to stay on site you could stay in the DVC villas. These can be rented through points from DVC members or booked directly through disney. We stay at the Beach Club Villas in a 2 bedroomed villa (essentially a 2 bedroomed suite with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, dining/living room area etc.)

Thanks I will check all of these out, although I am on a budget so will probably go for something relatively inexpensive.:)

I'm going through all of the recommendations, but can someone tell me if Bonnet Creek is an area or the name of the suites?:confused3 Probably a dumb question.

Bonnet Creek is a name of a resort and an area. There are a couple of new hotels going up here aswell like the Waldorf. The place I stayed at can be viewed at

I booked directly with owner which is far cheaper than booking with resort.
