Best Studios at Wilderness Lodge

Don't know this is best, but we enjoyed it. We had a 1-bdrm on the first floor to the left of the entrance. It was a "dedicated" - no other room is connected to it so it was larger and had good storage space. The view was of the walk way to the lodge.

We have stayed in 1514/1516 and 1543/1542. both great sets of studios. We love being on the first floor and close to the elevators. they both have woods views but 1514/1516 faces the path going into the villas. this was never an issue for us. We liked it.

The rooms ending in 60/62 on any floor may overlook the dumpster area (which is wooded, but still) in my opinion these are the only "sort of bad" rooms at the VWL.

We stayed in 1505 recently. We loved this studio room. It was on the first floor (obviously), with a patio facing the quiet pool - not that we cared. We loved the location b/c it was very easy to get to the bus stop, and was only 2 doors down from the laundry facilities. We actually timed the bus ride from MK and it took us only 8 minutes to get from the MK bus stop to back in our room.

Note that this was our first time staying at a DVC location and our first time at the WL (this visit was cash). Not sure if the laundry facilities are interspersed throughout the DVC resorts, but we sure appreciated having one so close - we basically averaged a load per day b/c of the baby. We also could not believe that the laundry facilities were free. Our preferred resort was always the CR-Tower, but we certainly did not miss the long trek to the South wing to pay $3 per load of laundry.

We are staying at our home resort in September (BCV) and hope to have a similar room in terms of convenience and location to the bus stop and laundry facilities. Room 1505 at VWL will be VERY hard to beat!

We stayed in a VWL studio (I believe it was #1559) in early March, and really enjoyed it. Others may take issue with this, as this room is located at the very end of the first floor, but we liked it. It is supposedly near the trash area, but you couldn't prove it by us. Also, being down the end helped ensure that things were quiet... kind of nice at the end of a long day in the parks :)
