Best stroller for toddler in WDW

So, I have been perusing all the store websites looking for a stroller that a) reclines all the way, if not almost all the way back, b) provides plenty of sun coverage, and c) is all around a dependable stroller. I suddenly realized why waste my time on those other sites when I can put up a post here and get LOTS of great suggestions....so.....what strollers have you been happy with at WDW?

I've heard lots of great reviews on the Peg Perego P3 and ended up getting one of craigslist for a great price, this is what we are planning on brining.

We travel alot over seas and I purchased a chicco stroller at babys r us for about $45. I love it! It has a small basket underneath and a detachable sun shade. It reclines slightly too by unzipping the back-more comfy for naps. It also has a carrying nylon bag with strap! I also purchased a net bag to hang on back-great to put things you will need quickly. It also has a five point harness and ergonomic handles-as well as handles bumps in the road as opposed to getting stuck like cheap umbrella strollers! Hope this helps!

You will definately need to get as light a stroller as you can get. Also, you don't want to get one that is bulky either. That makes it hard to get on the bus with. My wife and I had a verly bulky one and it was murder getting on the buses with it. I know that I did not suggest a model, but those are some features that I would look for. Hope it helps some.

I DOUBLE-reccommend the Chicco! We have taken it on FOUR Disney trips since 2005 and it is still in great shape! Super easy to fold down when you are running for a bus (just kick and bend), lots of carrying space underneath. My DS is six but we still brought it with us in September. And is it one of the lightest on the market. If you go to a website, look at the specs for weight, so you have an idea of how heavy it is. I think the Chicco came in at 11 lbs. The Peg comes in lighter (7.5-ish), but it is also $150 more.

I actually already have the Chicco (red) and I worry about it not reclining enough for my son's comfort. Am I wrong? Maybe I should just stick with what I have. I don't know I guess if my DS doesn't seem comfortable in that I can try one of those strollers they rent at the parks but I get kinda of skeeved out wondering how well they actually clean those buggers before they rent them out...I can't be the only one to think that, right?

My DS never had an issue with the reclining of his Chicco. It was enough for him to not fall forward, and kids sleep in their car seat upright a lot of times anyways, so it is not too different. The Disney strollers do not recline at all, and while they have leg room where a kiddo can stretch out, they are not padded at all.

I am a germie phobe too and I wipe down everything with chlorox wipes but the chicco has worked great for us-if they are really tired-they will fall asleep-save the money and use it on your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would def. recommend a Maclaren. Check out www.specialtybaby.com for past years versions at a discount price. Have ordered twice from the company and have been nothing but happy with them. MACLAREN!

I used my Chicco C-5 for my then 17 month old back in 8-9/2007 & it worked awesome. Basket underneath, cup holder, reclined great, & I got a mesh bag for the back too. The only thing I may get for the next trip /2008 is the extended sun shade, as I felt the canopy just wasn't providing enough. This model runs about $90.00 is about 14lbs. I ordered mine from TRU bc I couldn't find then in the stores. I am sure you can order them else where besides Toys r Us.

I have couple suggestions. It really depends on how much money you are wanting to spend. I love my Peg Perego Pliko3 it is the best stroler. It has a great sun shade, reclines back about 95% of the way, a great basket underneath and it is umbrellla style. We have had ours since 2005 and it has gone through 2 kids and many vacations including 3 international trips and it is still holding up. I am not a big Maclaren fan i dont think they hold up. My sisters has fallen apart after one year of use. I just purchased for our trip to Disney the Joovy Groovy 2(this is the double stroller) but it comes as a single stroller called the Joovy Groovy, and I love it. It doesnt have the best of basket space but an amazing sunshade and it reclines back as far as my Pliko does. The chicco is a good lower price stroller we looked at as a double but I didnt like its sunshade as much. I am really picky about sun coverage bc my 18 month old is a red head with very pale skin and he burns extremely easily. I hoped this helps. Have fun shopping.

and a shopping I will go....so many options...I have two months and change until we leave so I have a little time. Something else I was considering was to get a Graco Mosaic because it also fits our car seat base whenever we decide to work on #2 and then buying one of those Kiddopotommus shades that extends over the current shade. Anyone ever see those or try them?

I've heard the mosaics are junk. As are all Graco strollers.

Maclarens are not junk. My sister has had hers for two years (uses it all the time), and it still works like new. Bf's brother has one as well, for a year, and it's like new. Go on BBRU website and check out the reviews on the maclarens.

I'm looking for an umbrella type stroller for my 3-year-old. She's almost 40 inches and weighs about 31 pounds. Any ideas? The old stroller is just too short for her long legs!

Now, with the Joovy Groove, do you ever find yourself kicking the back wheels? My husband and I both have long strides and find ourselves kicking the back of our Chicco stroller....all the time! What has been anyone's experience with the Joovy Groove?

My husband is 6 feet and has had no problem pushing our Joovy Groovy 2 stroller. He said he hasnt kicked the back of the stroller. I am short on the other hand only 5'1 so I never have an issue with kicking or my stride anything. In fact my husband makes fun of me bc I am slower than him bc I have such short legs! My husband likes the feel of the Joovy. We have very wild boys and they like to stand up backwards and everything on the stoller and this really the only stroller they have not tipped over.
