Best stroller bag for twin Maclaren?

I finally broke down and purchased a Maclaren Twin Triumph for our trip to DW in May. We are flying, and I am VERY NERVOUS about taking on our flight because I don't want it to get damaged. I plan on gate checking it, but I have heard even gate checked strollers have been damaged. My question is this - what is the best stroller bag to purchase for my Maclaren? I know there is a Maclaren bag, but I saw one on walmart online that has padding in made by JL Childress. Anyone have any suggestions as to which would be better? I want one that will protect it and not be to bulky. Also, does anyone know the folded measurements of the Twin Triumph?

I think when we were looking at the MacLarens, the folded dimensions were included in their technical specifications on the official website. We've never used a stroller bag. My theory was that they'd be slightly less careless when they knew what they had than if it was just another bag to toss. We did remove the canopy and our stroller saddlebags so they wouldn't be accidentally yanked off/broken. We put the canopy and saddlebags in our carryons and gate checked a naked stroller. Maybe we've just been lucky?

If you go to maclarenbaby.com you can find all the measurements of the stroller.

I would get the Maclaren bag. It's made especially for the stroller.

I've had both Maclaren twin strollers and singles and they are workhorses. I have a 4 year old Quest that has been everywhere and still works fine.

Most of the bags out there do not fit a double. Like pps said, check out the dimensions on the mac website. I wanted a mac double stroller bag and could not find one when i needed it!

In the past, I've put a layer of bubble wrap around the stroller in the stroller bag. I figure a little extra cushioning can't hurt and it doesn't add to the weight of the stroller bag.

we have the triumph and just got back from an international trip with it. we also have the mac travel bag (which is great and really easy to use.) one issue- some handlers didnt realize it was a stroller- so didnt bring it right up for gate checking. Next time I may tape something on there giving our name and thats its a double stroller.
