Best Strategy for Fantasyland MM?

Okay, I've decided to use MM to tour Fantasyland, then stop at 7:45 am to line up for Star Tours Fastpasses. Matterhorn will not be open while we are there. :( We're not interested in Dumbo, the Storybook Canal or the Casey Jr. Train. So what's my best strategy? I'm thinking:

Peter Pan
Mad Tea Party
Alice In Wonderland
Snow White
Mr. Toad
Pinnochio
Carousel if time?

Am I missing something? Are all of these doable in 45 minutes? Is my order good? Feedback please!

Sounds like a good plan to me. We always do PP x2 since the line is realitively still short and then we make the decision for what we are going to do.

Can't wait

If you are near the front for PP then all of the above will take 30 minutes max.

This is pretty much exactly what we're doing, but we're grabbing fast passes for Star Tours after we ride the first time. :)

Just FYI, we've always had short waits for MTP during the day but Alice and Toad seem to consistently have longer wait times. Perhaps you might switch those?? Not sure what others think...

Your order should be fine. It sounds like many, many people are heading for Star Tours first, so you should have shorter lines than usual (and Magic Mornings always have short lines!).

I like blackjackdelta's idea to ride Peter Pan twice if you like, especially since Star Tours will be taking a whole lot of the people away from Fantasyland.

Aside from Peter Pan first, I don't really think the order matters. Alice and Mr. Toad get busier than Pinocchio, Snow White and the "cycle" rides, but between the fact that Magic Mornings aren't crowded anyway, and the Star Tours effect, I don't think it will matter what order you do. You might actually get stuck waiting a couple minutes on the Carousel and Teacups while they wait for other parties to arrive and load so they're not running them totally empty? Don't know that it's a problem. Anyway, I honestly don't think you can go wrong whatever you do.

Have a great trip! :flower3:

Thanks everyone for your advice! I'm glad that I have a good plan. I like the idea that it only takes 30 minutes as well, because I'll have a 'first-timer' with me. As long as I can hustle her in and to PP relatively quickly, it sounds like we'll have a few minutes for just 'absorbing the moment' as well, before going to Star Tours for FP.

Thanks again!

Your plan looks great.....& you'll be able to get them done & over to ST by :45am.....but i'm going to offer a differing opinion on your ride order:

- Yes.....PP first. (always first :)).
- Then Alice. (no Matterhorn?)
- Then either the tea cups (if they're loading) or Toady a couple of steps away (if the tea cups aren't loading).
- Then the tea cups if you rode Toady first.

- Then the Carousel (if loading)
- or Pinocchio
- or Snow White (actually Carousel, Pinoch & SW in any order...they're steps from each other.)

& you can bail on Pinocchio or Snowy if you run out of time that early morning & ride either attraction later in the day with little wait time if you have to.

:)

I'm no Disneyland expert, but based on the research I've done, I'd generally agree with you on that. I would probably go:

Peter Pan's Flight
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Alice in Wonderland
Mad Tea Party
Pinocchio
Snow White
Carrousel

Pinocchio, Snow White, and Carrousel can all be postponed until later in the day if you run out of time.

Edit: I agree w/ others above in that you should have no problem getting through all these rides in the morning w/out worrying too much about the ride order. The main thing to do is make sure you go to Peter Pan first. After that, all the other rides should have short wait times and I don't know if it really matters what time you go to them.

Thanks, that's good to know! I'm definitely planning on PP first.

I'd love to do the Matterhorn, Hound, but it will be closed while we are there. I guess it makes FL easier.

Out of curiosity, are Space Mountain and the Nemo subs open during MM?

I believe they are, however I would avoid riding them during this time. Nemo is a long ride that would eat up a large chunk of the MM, and Space Mountain has a FP which minimizes the need to ride when the standby line is shorter.

Space Mountain is generally open during Magic Mornings. I DID read on another board that they are doing some daily rehab on Space Mountain in July only, resulting it opening later or closing earlier some days. If I recall correctly, all the "opening late" days were scheduled so they wouldn't affect Magic Mornings. (Most people here will advise not to bother with Space Mountain during MMs because of Fastpass, but in my experience, even with Fastpass, SM is usually around a 5-10 minute wait, so IMO hitting it during Magic Morning isn't an awful idea. Particularly because Space Mountain is the best. :flower3: )

If the subs are open, that's a long ride, so most people don't recommend doing it for Magic Mornings anyway (if you got on immediately, you'd still be looking at 15-20 minutes for just that one ride). So a lot of people recommend against it. If you do it early-ish in the morning one regular day you should be fine unless the parks are packed. I also like it later in the evening, when the sun is not beating down on you as you wait.
