Hi!

I decided to book a brunch at Boma at 9:00 AM the morning before a Disney Cruise. We are expecting the DCL shuttle to pick us up at the resort (Carribean Beach) somewhere between 10:45 and 12:45...

We are a group of 4 adults. No drivers license. 2 are over 65 yo so we don't want to spend 1 hour each way from and to AKL

Which transportation would you recommend? Taxi? Mears?

How much is it going to cost us each way?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I read a lot of messages telling me to take the bus to AK and then to AKL but the main question is:"When do bus start going FROM AK to the resorts?" Last time I tried (2 years ago), it wasn't before 10 AM.

Uber. It will probably be about $10-$15 each way.

Uber or taxi.

Uber ~ $9 each way
Taxi ~ $13 each way

I would take a cab back to CBR..or Uber. Shouldn't be too much, under $20 I imagine. I would take Disney transportation to AKL though. Get the bus to AK at CBR, then transfer to an AKL bus there. I'm 67 and I have no issue doing that.
To get to Boma for a 9:00 ADR, I would be out at the AK bus stop by 8:15. That should get you there in time, but if it takes a bit longer, your ADR will be held for you. Just take a cab/Uber back to CBR.

I could be wrong but if my memory is correct, the shuttles back to the resorts from Animal Kingdom start a bit late, don't they?

I would take the bus on the way there. CBR to AK to AKL. Leave at 8:00am if you get there early...sight see. Then cab it back.

For four adults I would use Uber and have an UberX or Uber XL pick you up. I believe those are the ones for 4+ adults.

If you are uncomfortable with using Uber, there are taxis that hold larger parties. Maybe check with front desk, they likely could call one for you.

Not very comfortable with Uber... So I would probably stick to the taxi.

Worst case you'd need two taxis, but I know there are taxi vans and other vehicles that comfortably hold more than 3 adults. Front desk would likely be a great help with that, they could probably arrange for a pickup at a specific time.

Sure, they're not coming and going every 5 mins, but they are running. Disney knows guests have to get to resorts for early ADRs. There are usually CMs that can make sure there's a bus for you.
But, it will be faster to get a cab.

We were there last week, and Uber was hard to find. Mostly not available, so have a back up to your back up.
