best steaks

Victoria and Albert's, especially the $80 add-on of Japanese Wagyu Beef.

Shula's. After that it's just what grade will you settle for.

You're going to get a vote for every restaurant that offers steak at WDW. My personal choice is the Yachtsmans Steakhouse.

Shula's is good but I feel that you can get that in any major city.

What kind of argument is that? :confused3

Go to Yachtsman's, pay just as much or more for an inferior quality steak and less professional service. But it's only at Disney, so OK.

So you're the guy that they bring in to grade the meat? :thumbsup2

My Dh orders steak everywhere, his favorite was one at the BD but when I asked him where he would go for a steak it would be Yachtsman.

Steak at the Derby is excellent. I also prefer Yachtsman to Shula. I've had both good and bad experiences at both, but I enjoy Yachtsman more as a whole and have had some amazing meals there.

I agree that Shula's is best --

(except of course for the Japanese wagyu at V&A -- however on our Chef's Table visit last month they weren't offering it at all, they were serving an American wagyu, which was also delicious but not as unbelievable as the Japanese).

We don't bother with Yachtsman anymore. We used to love, love, love the Chateaubriand for two, but of course that is now gone with the DDP changes. There are very limited choices of cuts at Yachtsman anymore, and we do think that steaks at Shula's are better quality. Add to that the fact that Shula's encourages parents to put their sweet darlings in the childcare center for 2 hours and you have a winner.

Count me in Peter Pirate 2's camp! I don't care if I can get Shula's in places other than Disneyworld. When I want a good steak, I want a good steak.

I'm in the same camp! Shula's is the best place for steak--quality as well as variety.
Yachstman is pretty good and you CAN get a good steak (usually just one cut) at several other restaurants.

But Shula's is the best, by far.

Yachtsman is a good steak but the Charcrusted NY Strip at Flying Fish is the best meal I've ever eaten for the price, Victoria and Alberts is amazing but we can't do that every trip. We do on the other hand make it a point to hit the Flying Fish EVERY trip we make each year!!!

To answer your original question, its not an arguement its an opinion. Assuming you visit WDW and partake in the experiences therein I assume that you pay the inflated prices associated with the experience as well. Because its Disney, right? Ever stay on property?

You spend your $$ where you want and I'll do likewise for the experience, ambiance and whatever because its Disney. ;)
