I am not sure what the parade route is, but does anybody have any advice on where to sit for a good view of this parade? I have not seen this one since I was a kid! Last time at WDW it was Spectromagic! Thanks!:wizard:

I watched it from across from Jumpin' Jellyfish, and it was a good place! It's right where the parade starts, so you're seeing it first, and there are benches on either side of the walkway.

And once it's done, if you want to get across to Disneyland (since DCA will be closing soon), you can take the path that takes you past Grizzly, go past Soarin' , and you'll be out of the gates probably before the parade even gets to the last area. :)

I've watched it in front of Golden Dreams and it was also a good spot.

okay sounds good! Maybe I will try by the Jumpin jellyfish so I can make the great escape to DL. Good stuff! Wanted to see Pixar parade also, but dinner reservations are during that time, so at least the lil one will get to see the Light parade.

FYI, Golden Dreams is actually AT the turning point to get out towards Grizzly, so if you watch from there you're closer to get out of the park. I just wanted to be right there where it came out and see it first. :goodvibes

And I like looking at JJ and Orange Stinger (though I will never go on the Orange ride).:upsidedow

We watched it from right in front of the Orange Zinger last year. It was great! Dd was riding Zinger over and over while everyone else was lining up for the parade and then we walked right to the edge and got a seat on the curb!

ETA: it was in Feb, so it would probably be harder to snag a curb without waiting during the summer!

The other good place - If you don't mind not actually running over to DL to see the fireworks - is right in front of the candy store at the "Postcards from California" shop. This is right at the DCA entrance and at the end of the Parade route. You catch it as it curves around the entry plaza Sun Fountain and heads through the backstage gates. You can then turn around and walk/stand immediately under the Golden Gate Bridge (the monorail bridge) just in time to see the higher parts of the 9:25 fireworks shooting off over the train station.

FYI - the Pixar Play Parade starts here and ends by Burger Invasion and this is a good spot to see that one, too. You can actually wrap that one up and then walk casually over to DL and catch the 6:30 PM parade in an excellent seat by the cannons in Town Square. (No one ever sits there at first, because they think it's a curb cut!)
