On mine and DH's first night we want to catch the Electric Light Parade at DCA and then slip on over to DL for a few rides before it closes. What is a good spot to see the ELP and still be able to get out of the park quickly?

I was wondering if it would be possible (and how?) to get from ELP to the 10:30 showing of F! ? :confused3

We always ask a cm for sure which way the parade is going first. Sometimes it can be different. Then We try to sit close enough to where it starts to just sort of follow it until we get to the closest possible exit through the GC. Yes, you have to be checked again but for us it seemed to be quicker. Regardless you will have a long line to get back into DL. We were able to do it but it was crazy!

I also would like to get out of CA after ELP to see Fantasmic. I know Main street in DL will be crowded for fireworks. Is it a good idea to hop on the Train at the gate, then get off in New orleans Square and get a place to see the show? We will be watching the fireworks the next night. If ELP starts at 8:45, surely I'll have time before the 10:30 show, right?

When you are DCA stay on the side of the parade where the exit is closest or basically do not cross the walkway stay on the side of the walkway closest to the exit. (make sense?) If you are headed towards the exit it would be the left side. To get out of the park fastest. We usually take off once we see Pete's Dragon. The trains at Disneyland do not run during the fireworks. You will definately make it to the 10:30 showing from DCA. Hang out for a minute on Main Street while the crowd is disbursing and then once it looks a bit not so crowded then take off towards Fantasmic. Stay on the sidewalk opposite of The Emporium.

Do you think there would be time to see Mr. Lincoln while the crowds thin out?

Great Moments w/Mr. Lincoln is no longer running. It has been replaced by a movie hosted by Steve Martin as part of the Disneylan: The first 50 Magical Years. No word on if Mr. Lincoln will be returning or not.

Where is the best viewing spot if you have children who will want to sit during the parade? Were not in any hurry to leave the park so that is not an issue for us, I just want a good view for my kids. :cloud9:
