Ok I am sorry if this has been discussed in previous posts, but I am wondering what are the best snacks that are worth the $$$. I have been to DL many times but never have tried much other than my beloved corndog. I am on a mission to try something new this time!! I have heard about the dole whip (gonna try that one) Anything else? What is a Tigger tail?

I know that these are not unique Disney snacks, but we love the McDonald's French Fries and also the cookies (white chocolate/macadamia) from the cart near the front of the castle.

Ice cream (from the stand or Gibson Girls)
Churro ***
Popcorn ***
Turkey Leg
Dole Whip ***
Dole Float (will be trying on our next trip)
Frozen Lemonade thingy (sold at stands)
Mickey shaped soft pretzel w/cheese ***
Pinapple spears
Giant Pickle

Lots of choices at Pooh's Corner (specialy candy/fudge/carmel apples) ***

The stared ones are the ones that I myself am partial too.

Just to name a few...

I love the pickles, dole whip and chocolate chip cookies either from the bakery at Pacific Wharf or on Main Street.

Turkey leg as a snack? You got some appetite! ;)

I second those ones!

Tigger Tails are a heaven on a stick. LOL They are marshmallows dipped in caramel, covered in orange chocolate, drizzled with milk chocolate. I thought they would be gross but they are sooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!! Get them at Pooh Corner along with Apple Pie caramel apples, don't forget to have them slice them for you!

DD5 with a Tigger Tail in March... yum! We all shared it; we couldn't eat more than a bite or two each!

FLAME TREE BBQ, BABY!!!

The skewers are AWESOME! I especially love the bacon wrapped asparagus skewer, but they're all really good!

Our favorites are:

Popcorn
Churros
Mickey Rice Krispie treats
Mickey face cookies
Tigger Tails
Frozen Lemonade

Tigger tails are amazing. I also second churros, frozen lemonade in DCA, (The real stuff they sell by Golden dreams, not the prepackaged stuff) and the Dole Whip Float. I was not a huge fan of the apple pie apple, but the cinnamon one looked (and smelled) amazing.

Ohhh, wow all of these are sounding Really good :lovestruc I may just have to skip lunch, & snack my way around the parks. :scratchin hmmm

Question about the popcorn:

Is it like movie-theater popcorn? or air popped? Do they have Different flavorings?

Thanks!!

Flame Tree is in WDW, you are talking about Bengal BBQ in Adventureland

Oh crud, you're right! Sorry, had a brain spasm from all that planning I'm doing for our WDW trip coming up in December!

I meant the Bengal BBQ, baby!!!:cool1:

The skewers there rock!:thumbsup2

I found the Dole Whip to be uninspired. The ice cream at Gibson Girl interests me more although I admit a weakness for the Big Hunk O Pineapple. :rotfl2: The hot link corn dog over in DCA however... [swoon]. I could die happy choking on one of those. We enjoy the Tigger tails and chocolate dipped honey comb. I am a sucker for the begniets in DTD.

Mickey bars are an absolute must for a couple members of our party. Our travel buddy JayJay has a tradition of "bribing" my son to come to Disneyland by promising him a Mickey bar. They do this elaborate drawn out thing of my kid "thinking about it" when JayJay asks if he's going to come and only "agreeing" to come along after JayJay offers to buy him a Mickey bar. :lmao:

I tried beignets at Ralph Brennan's Creole Cafe in DTD last time, and found them to be kind of blah. Greasy and tossed in a bag with a handful of powdered sugar so you shook them up to coat them... and they were just kind of heavy. Did somebody mention on here earlier that they are better someplace in New Orleans Square? Can you get them at a counter service in the park, or do you have to sit down at Cafe Orleans and order them? How do they compare to the ones in DTD?

I love the Dole Whips!! :cheer2:

I also love the popcorn, which seems crazy because it isn't as though you can't get popcorn on the outside :) , but for some reason it just tastes so much better at the Dis! [And, for the person who asked, it is like movie-theater popcorn, and there are no special flavors.]

I agree. For some reason the popcorn tastes better, as well as the cotton candy. YUMMY! (along with the skewers at Bengal BBQ!)
