We will be there this June and was wondering what are some of the best snacks to beat the heat in each park?

We mostly graze in the summer because we never feel like big meals in the heat. Our go to snacks for the heat are:

-Any floats at Sunshine Terrace or Aloha Isle
-The American Dream at Fife & Drum in Epcot

I want to add to our list so we have options to avoid cranking family members lol. Recommendations?

Water, water and more water. Then some more water. Frozen lemonade is something we do often, it's lighter than full on ice cream and when it melts you still have something cold to drink. We, also, tend to just graze all day instead of eating full meals but don't do a lot of sweets. At MK we like the loaded tater tots since they aren't real heavy and pretty easy to carry around. At the other three parks we tend to like to go to Nomad Lounge at AK and HBD Lounge at HS and just have lite bites. I'm not sure if F&G will still be going on at Epcot while you are there but the booths are always great for grazing.

And to add on to the water....pickles. Tastier than Gatorade, lol.

I'm the guy that walks around with a hot espresso in August, so I might not be the best one to make recommendations, but those frozen strawberry lemonades are amazing. I'm not sure if you are into beer, but last year, I started to appreciate light beer at the table service meals.

More water than you possibly think you can drink!

MK- Dole Whip is a must! Try a coconut pineapple mix-yum!
AK- Nomad Lounge is a nice place for a break, small shareable plates.
HS- nothing particular comes to mind. Been wanting to try Baseline Tap House, maybe nxt trip.
Epcot- if Flower & Garden is still taking place during your trip, snack around the booths. (We do this for Food & Wine instead of a full sit down meal)

We do tend to have one sit down each day. It gets us out of the sun & heat, off our feet & just a time to recharge before hitting the parks again till closing time.

The charcuterie board at Baseline is highkey one of my favorite "snacks" on property, perfect on super hot days because it's light but hits the spot. It's a steal for the quality too. Ronto Wraps are also my fave because they're not heavy at all but still filling.

I agree with a sit down to beat the heat-if you don't do a character meal or buffet you can order as much or as little as you want.

In Hollywood Studious near the Incredibles Street (I don't remember what that exact spot is called) there is a Joffrey's cart. NEXT to the Joffrey's cart is a stand that sells the Jack Jack cookies and they have a pina colada icey drink that I LOVE (non alcoholic).

Thanks for all the ideas! I forgot about the pickles. That's a great snack and it also reminded me of the fruit at the stands too.

The charcuterie board at Baseline is also getting added to the list.

Water and sunscreen first and foremost. Cooling towels as well.

You definitely have the right thought process with Aloha Isle and America pavillion. But keep in mind sometimes your body will also crave salt (though that shouldn’t be an issue should you stay hydrated)

Epcot will be in one of the festivals mode so any of the booths might have something worth it for you (I’ve had some great and not so great over the years but beating the heat is the best)

AKL: I’m gonna butcher the spelling but Anandapur treats by Everest has soft serve ice cream that hits the spot

DHS same thing can be said of Gertie’s and the cart by where the Incredibles used to be. According to one of my aunts, Toy Story land has an awesome root beer float.

MK it’s a little harder however I’ve always loved the lefou brew at Gaston’s but keep in mind it might be a little sweet.

Disney Springs and all the hotels have a variety of options as well!

Night blossom in Pandora. Lefou’s Brew at Gaston’s. We also like the flavored iced teas from Joffery’s if we want something other than water.

Absolutely this....plus a few beers with it to stay hydrated. :smooth::smooth:

Will add that to the list! Great idea on the flavored ice teas. Our family loves tea so that is a good option.

Actually you are doing good drinking hot beverages in hot weather:

According to a study carried out at the University of Ottawa, drinking a hot drink when it's warm outside can cool you down – so long as you're not already sweating, that is. That's because drinking hot beverages triggers your body's sweat response (without raising your core temperature too much)

I used to live in the Middle East and everyone drinks hot tea in the hottest part of the day and that was all the bedouins we visited drank.

I can't wait to get to Flower and Garden festival at Epcot- so many unique frozen drinks to cool down- violet lemonade, cucumber and watermelon slushy, orange-lemon smoothie, honey peach cobbler freeze, strawberry mango slushy, froot loops shake... plus tangerine dole whip (and mango lime dole whip as a completer's prize for garden graze)! Anyone tried any of these and have recs?

Good to know. I'll have to reference that study when my family gives me strange looks.

Love the shaved ice in Japan at Epcot. I always get the milk on top.

Also love Regal Eagle. Air conditioning plus watermelon. Yum.
