We have a 10 night stay at AKL in June, and we're on the QSDP, and of course, 2 snacks a day, we want to be creative! What are the best snacks in the "world", in your opinion? We're really open to trying all sorts of things, since we never generally stop to get snacks.
Thanks!
(If you have QS favorites too, we'd love to hear those too!)

I don't know what qualifies as a "snack" on DDP, but my two must-haves..
1. Casey's corner hot dogs in the MK. Idk what it is, they are just so delicious!
2. Milkshakes from Mrs. Pott's cupboard, MK. They're actually pretty generic when I think about it, but there's rarely a line and they're soooooo delicious! Plus the shop is all cute in fantasyland :cutie:

Oh, and quick-service:
can't beat columbia harbor house in MK. It's pretty secluded and the food isn't your standard burgers, chicken tenders, or fries. If you go up to the second story the view is gorgeous and it's quiet.

As far as quick service meals, we really really enjoyed eating at Pecos Bill's. The portions there are HUGE, and they have a "fixins" bar to load up your salad or burger as you please. As far as snacks, I love getting a churro every trip. And, the cinnamon rolls at the Main Street bakery are really awesome!

best snacks
1.cinnamon rolls (mainstreet bakery)
2.Churro (MK)
3. Funnel Cake (Sleepy Hallow MK)

Best QS
1. Turkey Legs (MK or HS)
2. Ribs (flametree AK)
3. asian food (sunshine seasons EP)

On our last day at Disney we had 21 snack credits left. Ha! We "spent" ten of them at the caramel shop in Germany. Delicious! They boxed everything up and we brought the goodies home. I loved the apple caramel cookie and the blocks of caramel with dark chocolate the best, but everything was good. We did not do a cupcake because I didn't think that would travel well, but I think we got about everything else that was a snack credit. My kids loved the pretzels.

Best QS:
Sunshine Seasons

Best Snacks:
Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel
Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich at Main Street Bakery

Thanks for the input! We've tried several things at the Main Street Bakery, so I know exactly what you're talking about with how good things are.

My two all-time fave WDW snacks are both at AKL: roasted red pepper hummus w/ pita chips (it's a super delish roasted red pepper, hummus, & feta cheese recipe) & zebra domes

The Famous Dole Whips at Aloha Isle (Adventureland - MK)

  • Jalapeno Pretzel at Animal Kingdom (various snack carts)
    Cloudberry Horn at EPCOT's Norway
oooohh and you MUST visit Boulangerie Patisserie in France where almost everything is
    yummers!

And though it is probably out of your way, the brownies at Wilderness Lodge's Roaring Forks are SO GOOD. They have brownies at AKL too, but they just don't taste the same.

    Have fun!

Don't miss Dole Whip (pineapple soft serve) in Magic Kingdom. DH and I both loved the float version... it's unbelievably good! Just the perfect combo of cold, tart, and sweet.

Animal Kingdom: the White Chocolate Elephant cupcake in Africa...For a good QS meal, the FlameTree BBQ is delicious....

DHS: anything at Starring Rolls, but especially the Butterfinger Cupcake. I also like the Root Beer floats over by Indiana Jones...

Epcot: SchoolBread or a Cloudhorn in Norway; the Karamell Kuche shop in Germany; kakigori in Japan; anything at the French bakery in France...as far as Quick Service meals here, we like Sunshine Seasons and the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco...

MK: Dole Whip; anything in the Main Street Bakery; raspberry lemonade slushie, ice cream at Mrs. Pott's...and as far as QS meals, Pecos Bill and Columbia House Harbor...

Definitely try the ice cream cookie sandwiches at the Main Street Bakery. They're delicious and gigantic! I also like the pastries at the bakeries at the France and Norway pavilions of World Showcase.

You HAVE to check out this thread-so crucial for giving you ideas on what to use your SC on.

The OP does a new thread, every year, so it is as up to date as it can be.

BTW, mini donuts (only at waterparks) are not a part of the SC. It's the only snack we pay OOP for. DD11 loves them!:lovestruc

Some of our favs-
Most anything at Starring Rolls at DHS but the Banana Split Cake was one of my favorites.

I like to see pix-so here are a few of mine from last fall. All with a SC.

A SC is WAY More than a bag of popcorn!

I think the fresh fruit located at carts throughout WDW is the best snack on property. I'm not really into anything that is really sugary which most of the other snacks are. I do get a pretzel though from the Germany pavilion on every trip.

My, I'm getting hungry thinking about all these snacks! Thanks so much for your opinions!
I have to ask though, what exactly IS the Dole Whip? I've seen it many times over the times I've been to WDW, but I honestly don't know what it is besides something pineapple!
But trust me, I will definitely be trying some of these things when we get down to Disney!

The dole whip float is pineapple juice and pineapple ice cream. Super yummy!

1) pecan caramel bar in Germany
2) grey goose slushie in France

Yum!
