We are coming in June 5 for 5 night I am hoping to get one of the best sites because I believe this will be our last trip in the RV. We don't get alot of time to use it w/ our busy weekend youth sports games for our 2 kids. Every weekend our schedule is filling up. So I want to get a prime site & go out on top! We need a site fairly easy to get in & out of w/ a 40 ft. rig.

I am sorry I just recently found this site & our camping seems to be soming to an end....

What type of site did you reserve?

You will be arriving at a fairly busy time (school is just getting out), so the Fort is probably going to be full.

I would not be as concerned about asking for a specific site number as much as being clear what you are looking for. Do you want to be close to all the action, or in a more quiet area? Do you want to be close to the campfire area/pool or marina? Would you like to be close to a playground? On a canal? Close to a comfort station? Do you mind being around campers with dogs?

For example, there are sites that back right up to the Meadows campfire area. You can literally watch the movie from your campsite. Some people would like this, some people would hate it. Someone might love to be on a canal, someone else might not like it at all. Some folks want to be right next to the comfort station, others might want to be as far away as they can get.

IMHO there are great sites on every loop. So, I would be focusing on a loop, not a site, and then hoping for a nice site on that loop.

These are the things that you will need to decide before making a request.

While they usually just let you request a Loop, the 300 Loop the first five 301 - 305 and the last 354-360 are pretty large and on a curve to back into. We stayed in 354 and it and the others are close to the bus stop and you can walk to the Settlement. This Loop is a pet preferred..

Thanks for the awesome info. I do not want to be in the 700 loop we were there before & buses are loud & go by very often. We were backed right up to the main Rd. I was hoping for the 300 or 500 loop for location. But as said we want somehting not too cramped. I saw someone post the 305 before & it looked beautiful, but I didn't want to be just set on 1 site the odds would be almost impossible! I don't want alot of noise or traffic, but I would like to be near the settlement area. Oh and yes it has to be a PET Preferred loop
