Hello,

We're on our way to DL for the second time. We had a great meal at the Blue Bayou...the setting was cool, relaxing (though the food was good but not outstanding). Is there another good sitdown restaurant inside the park that we should consider this trip?

Thanks!

I know it is not inside the park but Hook's Point over at the Disneyland Hotel is the best.

I think the only sit-down DL restaurants are Blue Bayou and the Carnation Cafe (?).

DCA should have a better variety of sit-down, Soap Diner, Robert Mondavi, Avalon Cove, etc.

As Steve mentioned, the hotels have a big selection too. Napa Rose in GC sounds great, and if you like Japanese food, I've heard great things about Yamabuki in PP.

Also, Downtown Disney!

We have enjoyed the Vineyard Room in DCA. Expensive but nice.

Definitely recommend the Vineyard Terrace at DCA. As previous poster noted, it is expensive but well worth it!

Storyteller's Cafe at the GC is really good!! Not quite as exspensive as some of the others. Although, the others are all great suggestions.:)

My family enjoyed the Cove Bar. Not as expensive as Avalon Cove, but there is only outside seating. However, it has a spectacular view of California Screamin', particularly its launch. My step-son and step-daughter (8 & 9) would sit at their own table or drag charis over to the railing and sit there and watch the launches. That left DH and me alone to enjoy a couple of drinks, while they were totally captivated. The food there was delicious. I had sushi and DH had a prime rib sandwhich (I believe). The kids had chicken fingers and said they were the best they had on the trip. We went back a second time just for drinks and to rest.

We also enjoyed Hook's Point at the Disneyland Hotel, Goofy's Kitchen in the DL hotel, Ariba y Aribe at DTD, and ESPNZone at DTD.

We had an excellent dinner at the Napa Rose inside the Grand Californian. The atmophere is very nice, it's kind of a Frank Lloyd Wright lodge decor.

The food was fantastic from appetizer to dessert and the service was great. It's a splurge, but hey, you're on vacation right! :D

The Blue Bayou is the only nice "sit down" restaurant in DL. Everything else is either counter service or buffet, except a table service patio area at the Carnation Restaurant on Main Street (which has a very limited menu).

Add my vote for Hook's Pointe! It's our favorite restaurant at the DL resort. Love that spicey mesquite seasoning!

We also enjoyed Brennan's at Downtown Disney; the beignets for breakfast are a blast, and they also serve great jumbalaya. Mmmm.

And: Goofy's Kitchen at the DL Hotel is a fun character meal.

Bon appetite!
