best signature rest w/ kids and to watch fireworks

Since hoop dee doo will be under refurb we have decided to do a signature and hopefully one we can see fireworks from, thanks

Hiya! How old are the kids? What kind of food do you like?

IMHO, the best place to dine and see the MK fireworks is California Grill. We've had several good experiences here - food, in our experience is great - and the view is awesome. You can get up and go outside to the roof deck if you want a better view.

Narcoosees at Grand Floridian also has a great view, and here you can also go out to the deck if you want a better view. However - I'm not a fan of the food for a signature. Others disagree, and I will say the kids enjoyed the ambience and the food here.

The other option for fireworks is Epcot for Illuminations. There are views from Rose and Crown (I like the food here, haven't eaten during the fireworks) or La Hacienda (the views aren't plentiful or great but the food is good.)

Any of these options, of course, depend on timing you adr so you are dining during the fireworks. My other thought would be to eat earlier either in Epcot or MK area and then watch the show afterwords. Easy to find a space in Epcot...in MK area, they pipe in the music to Poly beach and you can certainly watch from there.

We did Cali Grill with our kids back in Aug. Our older one had just turned 5 and our younger one was 2 at the time. It was so GREAT!!! DD5 even said it was her fave meal of the entire trip...and that's saying a lot considering we did something like 7 character meals on that trip. We were able to watch right from our table and it all worked out so that we were being served dessert right after the lights dimmed.

We are also going in August. what time did you make reservations? Looks like wishes is at 10pm most of our week.

We did Narccossee's this past February and loved it!!! When it is time for the fireworks you can stay at your table if you are by a window or the staff will escort you to the deck area that wraps around the restaurant. The view was amazing and so was the food!!!
