My husband and I are taking a niece along on our next trip. We would like to have one nice meal alone while are niece stays at one of the childrens clubs. We are wondering which resturant would be the most romantic.

I have never eaten at Narcooses but he food porn and reviews look wonderful.

DF and I will be honeymooning 1/6-1/13 and have reservations for romantic dinners at:

Narcoossee's
Flying Fish Cafe
California Grill
Citrico's
Yachtsmen Steakhouse
Le Cellier

Just my suggestions after scouring THOUSANDS of food reviews and pics here on the DIS :thumbsup2

I've been to all of these several times and out of this list, I think JIKO is most romantic. Definitely quieter, lowered lighting, not as many children.....

Before I vote, when you say romantic do you mean "candlelight quiet" with few kids? Or just a nice restaurant with a view?

We love Jiko, but for romance we dine at BlueZoo.

We had a great time at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. :thumbsup2

I picked Citricos because we have never had a bad experience there. It does not offer a view so it makes itself special thru service and quality meals. Nice wine list too. Artist Pointe would be my second choice. Superior service and good meals. Later dining time almost ensures a quiet room. Jiko is also a good choice (my 3rd), excellent wine list and usually quiet, some people fear a too exotic menu and typically families might shy away from it. Food is excellent and not that "exotic". After dinner a stoll around the hotel is very nice.
Narcossees has good food but I have never had a quiet/romantic meal there, pretty much the same for California grille (which in my opinion is losing its grip on service.Probably because of the fireworks view. Yachtsman and Shulas are good but I don't think them to be special.
Each would be a fine choice for a dinner, but I would pick Citricos for special occasion.

I voted for Shulas for a couple of reasons. First, it is very dark and adult. Secondly, the food is really, really good. Third, your niece can stay at the Dolphin Club FOR FREE for 2 hours. If you get her there by 6:00ish they will even feed her dinner :). My 8-year old loved the Dolphin Club ... they also bring them to the arcade and give them a fist-full of tokens to use on the games.

FWIW, if you are on the Disney Dining Plan Shulas is not included.
