Can any one recommend the best type of footwear for me and the children for walking the parks in July/Aug - Ive tried crocs before but they did make my feet sweat.:confused3

Thanks Kx

Most people wear trainers round the park because of the amount of walking. I have been stupid in the past wearing heals:rotfl2:

Think trainers would defo be a no go for me- as my feet get so hot!!!!:lmao:

A lot of people wear sports sandals. I like Merrell but Teva also get good reviews. Clarks also do some good walking style sandals (used to be called Springers but I don't think they are any more).

I just wear some comfy Animal flip flops but as I work at Clarks I'd recommend some of our newer sandals :p I'll try my hardest not to do a sales pitch, but Clarks shoes are unbelievably comfortable! For extra comfort, you can check out the Unstructured range, which are more lightweight and suitable for the parks :goodvibes

I was looking at these tonight in Clarks (I never get shoes from Clarks but they caught me eye!), they look so comfy!

I have worn Flip flops for about 25 years of going abroad and in UK, Venice, Vegas, Florida, every trip, every day. Until last year I fell going onto Space mountain, since then trainers for me. Much prefer flip flops but trainers are much safer for me now.

obviously you were trying the wrong style of crocs ;)
i always wear cleo crocs, they are soooo comfy

Myself and my teenage daughter always wear flip flops, hubbie and son wear trainers and my youngest daughter usually wears some sort of soft pumps(always pink) with socks.

I'd recommend whatever you all find the most comfortable.:thumbsup2

Personally its my Teva Sampago's all the way, expensive but i know someone who did the coast to coast in these. Sooo comfy.

i used to work for clarks and have to say they are so comfy.

i also wear birkenstocks that have been worn in so are super comfy and trainers

I wear Animal flip flops if it's really warm, and my Nike trainers if it's not so warm (been during various times of the year and the weather was changeable). I tried crocs and hated them but DBF lives in his croc flip flops!! Birkenstocks - couldn't get on with them personally but my mum lives in hers!!

Personal choice - go with whatever you feel most comfy in....

I tried crocs last year and my feet got too sweaty aswell. And trainers make my feet too hot. I've got some clarks sandals froma few years ago - don't know what theya re called, but very comfy and thats usually what i wear now, but take trainers with me in case i need them.

I wear Croc's Capri - same colour as netty's Cleo's, lovely and comfy or a pair of trainers :goodvibes

not me trainers all the way a good excuse to go round the malls, adidas shop my favourite  :woohoo: and i then bin my old trainers don't want to take too much weight back

I wonder about this. I have super comfy flip flops that I wear all the time at home, then I think Disney walking is in its own league.

At WDW I wear, teva's or sneakers :-)

another vote here for birkenstocks but have them well broke in before you go

hiya,

I wore the standard cayman crocs -one size too big with trainer socks - comfy and not too hot. Also - didn't mind wearing them on the water rides as they dry off sooo quickly - and don't mmmmmmm "smell" bad getting wet/dry/wet/dry like trainers do if you know what I mean.
