We took our 3 and 5 year old grandkids on the Magic this summer. We picked that ship because it was smaller and easier to get around. The kids loved the pool area, but when it was time to go to our Meet n Greet with Goofy, it was easy to run over to that and then get back to the pool. When the pirate sword was forgotten for pirate dinner night, it was easy to run back to the room to grab it. When we were in line to see the princesses before heading to the pool and my granddaughter saw all the other girls in costumes, it was easy to send someone back to the room to grab her princess costume.
The convenience of a smaller ship was invaluable for us! Also, we stayed on deck 2 between aft and midship, which was absolutely the best spot to get to most things quickly.
