OK, hair gurus I need your help. My hair is very naturally oily and that is made considerably worse by the fact that I live in South Florida with such high humidity.

I wash my hair every morning and I really have to. Even with washing it every morning the roots and bangs still start looking oily by the evening. Other than the oily factor my hair is very healthy.

I have tried "dry shampoo" and it doesn't really do much to my hair unfortunately.

I used to use Biolage's Normalizing Shampoo and it was GREAT but it stopped working for me and I'm not sure why.

Thanks in advance!!! :goodvibes

I was going to suggest the Biolage Normalizing.......I have used it for years.

Did you perhaps go from color treated to non color treated? When my hair is freshly colored it gets less oily, if I add a few bleached highlights all the better. As the color fades my hair gets oilier faster. I too have the issue with the bangs and here is a hint I learned here on the Dis. Maalox (store brand is fine) and a sponge......lightly dab the Maalox premakeup to your oiliest areas. The acid absorbtion material in the Maalox helps absorb that oil on your face. It works, I use it over moisturizer also.

Actually I just stopped highlighting my hair about 6 months ago and I'm sure that's why it seems oilier. I don't know why I didn't think of that. One thing I loved about getting highlights was the drying effect.

I will definitely try the Maalox trick - thanks so much! :goodvibes

I found that when I stopped using shampoos with sulfates in them that my oily hair issues went away. I like Giovanni and sometimes use Organix because I like the scents of one but it doesn't clean quite as well as others ;)
