Best Servers on The Magic

It became painfully apparent to me on my most recent cruise that there is a LARGE DESPARITY in the quality of the Food Servers on the Magic... So, in the hopes that their great work will be rewarded when acknowledged, I suggest we post comments here regarding the servers we liked the best, so that others may enjoy them and so that they may receive the praise they deserve...
I do NOT suggest, however, that anyone post here about the worst servers they had, since that would not be fair to those individuals....

Here are my two recommendations:

Best "Rotations Server" - "SONNY" (He typically starts in Lumiere's the first night), he is very outgoing, happy, and attentive

Best PALO server - FLORENCIA, she is sweet, intuitive and very helpful with suggestions and special treats

I hope you all share your recommendations as well...!

Our favorites are all rotational: Philip, server from Croatia (He's the best. We've had him twice. He can teach you an awful lot of napkin folds. ); Corinne, server from France; and Nick, resaurant manager/head server from Isle of Man (UK). They are the best restaurant people still on the Magic. I also have to give a shout-out to George from Bulgaria who was the assistant server on our last cruise. George is now "retired", but he was cool also.

I agree. Don't say anything about the bad servers as they might have just been having a bad day! (or week)

We were just on the 8/21 Eastern and our servers were Wisanu and Dennis. They were wonderful. We couldn't ask for better.
Here they are having fun during the Pirate theme night in Animators.

If your on the ship please tell them that Jeff, Missy, Catherine, and Sarah miss them very much.

Jon (head server) was our favorite!! He spent a ton of time at our table of 14 every night and even made my DS(4) a Jello birthday cake because of his food allergies!!

Depesh and Roger - they are so attentive you honestly think your table is the only one they are serving. Always polite, friendly and provide excellent service. We had them on the Magic Halloween cruise last October (2003). They are awesome!

They went above and beyond (got my wife something off the menu) and we mentioned it on our guest survey.

Hi all....

I had Rishi and Stoyan....and they were so great!!!!!! Always smiling and laughing with us. Rishi brought alternate foods before finding out if we liked what we had...just in case. They were the best!!!!!

Hope to see them again in January!!!

We had Toto and Oppie as our serving team on our August 28th cruise, which ended up being 10 nights. They were just as helpful and friendly on the 10th night as they were on the first night. They were "excellent!" John Cunningham was our Head Server, he was very nice and fun to chat with

Gemma in Palo was wonderful! I was so glad that she was our server for brunch and for dinner. She was a pleasure to talk to, and she made excellent food recommendations!!

Mladen was our server, Gede was our assistant server and Gaspare was our head server and they were simply wonderful! Really, the absolute best!

We had Orlan (Phillipines) and Alvira (Jamaica). They were great. Always around when you needed them and knew what we wanted before we got there. They made our trip very memorable. Botond (Hungary, I think) was supposed to be our asst. server, but because of other circumstances he was moved to another table, but he kept checking on us during the week and was very nice. I have heard others think he is great as well.

We love Depesh! We love Sonny! We love Joanna! We love Salvatore and Marco in Palo!!! We love ones who aren't there anymore like Istvan, Giorgio, Head Server from Palo who is Australian and Italian, whose name I cannot remember but will come to me later. And so many more!!!!!!!!!!!!!


P.S. Marco returns to the ship soon, and Salvatore heads home anytime now. For a short while, there will be no Italians in Palo.

In Palo we had Marco from Italy..he was outstanding!

Gemma was our server last year and she was wonderful! Warm, sweet, funny and very helpful. I am happy to say that last I knew she was promoted to Palo. She will make your dinner truly enjoyable!

Clive from Jamaica. After three cruises I still say, he's the best! The are so many amazing staff members on the ship. Does anyone else wonder how they stay so upbeat during stressful times? Our first cruise ran through a pretty big storm, the dining rooms weren't even 1/3 full - and we had a blast! And the servers just go with the flow. I wanna go again.......waaaahhhh

Sachin A from India. Bar none. Absolutely fantastic service. He did magic tricks, took the kids (all of them in the section) to limbo, had all the childrens names memorized the first night (before dinner), took the fussy 19 mo son of our table mates so mom and dad could eat. Asked my son if he could live with us and bring his pet elephant, I could go on and on. This man was fantastic!

ASK FOR HIM ON YOUR NEXT CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristian in Palo is great too, although not nearly as great as Sachin was

Two years ago we had Zoran from Hungary as our server. He was outstanding. His assistant was Leeroy from Jamaica who kept us entertained with magic tricks (all the funnier as they often didn't work). Last year he had been promoted to server though unfortunately we didn't have either of them. Mind you, Leeroy saw us at Topsiders one day and remembered us.

Does anyone know if either of them are are still on the Magic?
