Best section at Pop Century?

We are planning a trip to WDW the first week of Aug and I'm getting ready to make the reservations. We have never stayed at the Pop but have stayed at all the All Stars. My question is which section is the best to be close to things but that would also be quiet? I just need a standard view room not paying for an extra view. When we stay at the ASMo we like the Toy Story section. I'm looking for a section like that close but quiet. It would have to be a non smoking section.

Thanks for any help!!

Hi there, we just stayed at Pop 12/1-12/7. We stayed in the 70's section. It was the Mickey phone building on the side facing the lake. We were actually a little closer to the food court and bus stops then some of the perferred buildings. I think our room # was 6315. When I was checking in I asked for the 70's building and she told me that's the building she stays in when she stays at Pop.

We stayed in the '70s. I think that the only place that you wouldn't want to stay is in the '80s and '90s. They are quite a walk from the main building. In the '70s it was very close by, but still very quiet.

Same building .. same side... its terrific. Make it a non-1st floor room (we were on the 3rd) and I feel its one of the best locations. I think we were 6334 (might be wrong). :)

good luck!

We were in that building also, but the other side, 6363. We really liked it there. We cut across the 90's parking lot to get to the bus stop.

We're going back in Oct., and trying to decide if we should stick with the 70's, or try 50's since the pool would be closer for DD. Any opinions?

I recommend where we stayed!! In the 70's building standard (not perferred building) and just as close and the "preferred" building!!! Building B - we stayed on the 3rd floor!!! It is circled - room 336 (corner room)

We stayed in the 90's building, room 9418, fourth floor. It was very quiet, we could see Illuminations at EPCOT from our room window It worked out perfect for us, since I am an early riser, I am the one to get the refillable mugs, fill them with Hot Chocolate, Hot Mochas (half Hot chocolate, half coffee) and one frozen Coke. I enjoyed the walk and it really is not far to the main building.

Enjoy POP. We sure did.
