Hi Everyone,
I am post happy this morning. What is the best way to get the best views for WOC. Should we do the dinner or get a FP in the am? If we were to do the dinner which one has better food. Or is the picnic a better deal?
Thanks for all of your help!
Sharron

Hi! The Dobies got a great view last week by walking in to the 9:00 show in the blue section with our fastpasses about 15 minutes before the show started. We are, however, relatively tall.

I would not pay 50 bucks for a meal to see that show.

And you realize that there are no seats?

The key to whatever section you end up in, is getting in line early to get to the railing....this way you don't have anyone standing in front of you. With that being said, we've done the Ariel's Grotto Dining Package & the picnics.

The $40 being paid isn't for the show, it's for a fabulous meal. The preferred dining section is the center & the view of the show is awesome. It was one of our best meals the last 2 trips!!!

We did the picnic & was underwhelmed with our food & even being on the railing in our section, the view was way off to the side & not near as enjoyable.

Everyone has their preferences......doing the dining package is our family's. To us, it was worth every penny for the great meal & great viewing area for the show.

If we were to do the dinner which one is better Ariel's Grotto or Wine Country? How early do we need to be there to get rail viewing. I am so use to saving spots with stroller and enjoying a book while the boys play around with daddy! That is our typical way of doing it at WDW for the evening parades and shows!

One more question since we are going in October 21-24, which night is better to see the show Saturday or Sunday? For less crowds.

We just went in July and did the Preferred Dining for the first time at Ariel's.

Purely from the how good was the show perspective, it was great, as the new method of letting the other zones populate, then lining up and seating the PD people worked great, we got a rail in the first tier of the "dry" area, but literally could have "stood" wherever.

That being said, I felt the meal was not the greatest for the kids, the whole family enjoyed the Entry, but no one liked the appetizer much and although the Dessert was good, I felt that overall it was not a great value.

I would be interested to see how others compare the value to the Fantasmic Reserved "Seats" purely on value.

We went last Thursday night to see it. We got fast passes in the yellow section for 9:00. We went back at 8:30 and they asked us if we wanted to be in the wet zone. So we said 'yes' and were in the 2nd row directly across from the Mickey wheel. We didn't get soaked, but it was misty. It didn't really bother us, though. The show itself was awesome.

We had a wonderful meal at Ariel's. The cioppino was the best thing I ate on our entire trip- and we were there a week and dining on the high end. :)

When my husband and I went 3 years ago for our anniversary we did the Fantasmic dessert seating! It was fantastic and so worth the money! Do they still run fantasmic during the off season? My biggest concern with the WOC is my two little short guys and myself. I just want good viewing for them. If we don't have to do WOC of dinner and the fp works then I would love to do that. How early do you need to get the fp for the day of the show you want to see?

What is on the menu at Ariel's? I am going to be alone, so I'm wondering if it will be worth it.

F! should be running during the off-season on the weekends. Since you are going during October, the only days that F! should be running are on Saturday and Sunday during October. Since Fridays are MHP days, those are the only days during the week that F! should be running.
