I think it's going to depend on what seafood you're interested in. I don't usually look for great lobster in Florida. But would expect they'd do well with shrimp and regional fish options that we couldn't get up here.
New England is known for having great seafood, most specifically: lobster, clams/mussels and certain fish varieties (Cod, Haddock...). My in-laws were visiting over the weekend. MIL said she really wanted seafood, so we went to a seafood place and her and FIL both ordered Alaskan King Crab legs. They both said that they weren't very fresh. (Does anyone else see the problem? ---imagine, Alaskan king crab legs not being fresh in Massachusetts.
You may be able to find some decent lobster or other seafood dishes in Florida, but don't expect the non-regional favorites to be as good when you're not in the region that is known for them.
