My dh & ds are newbies to scuba. This will be their first "foreign" dive. Which of the excursions do you think they would enjoy the most? (They are both fearless & strong swimmers)
We were hoping they could dive at Castaway Cay, but it looks like it's been discontinued!

C'mon you guys!!
Someone, somewhere outhere MUST've done these scuba dives? Were they really that bad???

Sorry I can't help with the Eastern..we did some scuba in Cozumel on the western.
This year we've decided it wasn't worth the hassle of taking the equipment ( we are fortunate enough to be having a week at WDW prior to the cruise) for two days of diving.
I had researched, though. Captain Nautica looks like a good operation on St. Thomas, and I think at Coral World you can arrange a dive.

I haven't sailed with DCL yet, (March 27, 04 Western) but I have cruised many many times in the Caribbean and done the same itinerary as well as stayed on St. Thomas for two weeks. I did dive in St. Maarten. VERY AVERAGE. At least where they took us. If they are only going to do one dive, stick to St. Thomas or St. John area. They won't be sorry. I am not sure what the excursions are on the Eastern Magic cruise, but anywhere around the USVI is great diving. Not as good as Grand Cayman, But very nice. Stick to Shopping and Beaches at St. Maarten.
